NH Fish and Game Marine Patrol.
Someone gives them a badge and a boat and off they go, ruining people's weekends. I was out on my jetski aroudn 3 or 4 this afternoon just cruising around, not bothering anyone (like there was anyone else on the lake). Not being reckless and not breaking any laws (pretty much stay 150 feet from everything), I was just out for a cruise. Well, the weekend warrior must have decided that I am too close to an uninhabited island that I was comming around. These guys have no idea how short 150 feet really is. Think about it, half of a football field, less than half of a 100m dash, its pretty short. Anyways, having been stopped by them before in my boat, i knew there was no point in arguing with them as they just know that they are right na matter what you tell them. So I took off. Having lived on the lake my entire life (20 years) i know the layout and the rock fields pretty well. Now when it is on step, the jetski drafts about 2 inches of water, where as a 70 hp Evinrude outboard (boat cop's boat) drafts about 18 inches at the bottom of the lower unit. So I took off and the 5-0 chased me. I led him right through a rock field at the other end of the lake. It was so shallow, maybe a foot to the rock tops, and the dumbass cop, not knowing how to read the lake markers, followed me through. I could hear the crash and mangling of metal on the rocks. Not looking back I hammered on it all the way home, put the cover on it and pulled it onto the beach. Theres no way he caught th e registration numbers, as they are very small and on the front of the boat, so im pretty sure i am home free. Damn wannabe cops, I hope they learn their lesson...
...still SOOO bitter about our law enforcement...in general...
