Well, since driller got me into the mood of posting pics, I have decided to resize and post pics of my trip this summer.
These pics were taken near the Saudi- Jordanian-Israeli- Egyptian boarder, on the beautiful Red sea. We went out there with my cousin’s truck, I was currently in Saudi Arabia, and my cousin asked me to join him with one other friend of his.
It was about a week vacation, but we ran into a problem we never ran into before. Yup, we got stuck in the Sea!!!!!
At first, we thought it was funny, and didn’t care much because we were too busy having a good time in the water, till things got serious. The reason the car kept sinking was due to the incredible rising of the tide, in a very short period of time. We were stuck for about 6-7 hours, the cost guard 4X4’s tried to get us out for 2 hours, but that only made them get stuck as well. So we had 3 4X4’s attempting to retract us from the water, but they failed miserably.
Until they called a winch truck, I’m talking about those 10 wheeler ones that can drag a house on its side
At any rate, enjoy the pics………. I have blurred out the guys on the pics, because they simply don’t want their pics all over the internet, we were already famous enough in that region of the country for being “The guys who got stuck at sea in their 4X4”
The truck is a Toyota HILUX 4X4. You can only imagine how much Sault got into the engine department, and how rusted it got from the bottom. Of course we rinsed it WELL when we got to the coast guard’s base.
If there any questions, just post ‘em. And no, the car didn’t move an inch in all those pics.
Oh yeah, there’s a bonus at the end.
(Oh yeah, the truck did get flooded on the inside… it got worse then pictured, but I can’t find those pics, and the alternator died 10miles after we got it out)
Beautiful View (Those mountains belong to Egypt).

Where the truck was parked at first, before all hell broke loose.

as you can see, the tide starts kicking in.

The cost Guard staying clear, and thinking of how the hell to get us out of there. (they never faced a situation like that before).

I have been told that this is a U.S. war plane that has been there since WW II (of course stripped from the inside) and I checked for myself, the engine was made in the USA.
