Check This Out

RE: Check This Out

Isn't that weird Geno? I can carry, but i can't carry anywhere i might need it. :). Oh well.

Previously, anyone could apply, but in most counties they just didn't give them out. It was at the discretion of the county gun board, and most of the counties around detroit have pretty liberal gun boards (made up of a few elected officials, i believe the sheriff, prosecutor, and a few others). Macomb county (where i live) was pretty loose with them, but they still wouldn't give you one if you were CHARGED with a certain list of misdemeanors (not convicted)in the past so many years. Since i've been charged with a few minor offenses but never convicted, i was SOL for like 10 years or something. I'm sure that just about anyone could get one in plenty of counties up north, though. Then they changed the law and made it a lot more equitable, but they don't let you carry it in a lot of places. They also raised the age to get a CCW from 18 to 21. I believe Michigan has always honored concealed weapons permits from any other state. That was a loophole for a long time, people would get them in FL through the mail for a while, and use them here.

Oh, and go up north, i'm sure you'll find some people packing at mass.

The only time i really carried was when i was delivering pizza. I would just leave my .40 under the seat of my car, but i work on a military base, so that's out too. In all honesty, i haven't even been shooting all year.

RE: Check This Out

The problem with America right there.

Funny, I suspect that is the exact reason the person put up the site. It aint real folks. It is some anti-gun person trying to show just how bad the gun laws are and how your kids could get them. If they were doing what they say, they would be in violation of a whole book of laws.

Think about just one simple angle. You send them the money for the gun. The gun never shows up. Are you going to call the police to tell them you were ripped off while trying to break the law? In order to file a complaint you would first have to show your clear violation of the law.

The problem with America is with all the people willing to make up anything so they can support their own agenda.

RE: Check This Out

Flamark,

I'm not a US citizen (I'm Canadian) and I was able to purchase a firearm out of state. LEGALLY. I contacted State Police and ATF, and was told it was legal. The only thing I had to do was when the firearm was shipped, it had to be shipped to an FFL Dealer, and the dealer had to prove he was FFL certified. I then paid a transfer fee ($20) and the gun was mine. I am not sure, however, if the rules are different for handguns. This was a long gun. What says you??

RE: Check This Out

Laws are the same about handguns, except different states have different ways to do background checks. Some states there's a waiting period, i know in MI you have to go to the police station and purchase a handgun permit before you can buy a pistol, then that permit is good for like 15 days or something. The cops do the background check on the spot.

Nationwide, if you buy a gun (pistol or long gun) off of an FFL dealer, they make you fill out a form and call in your purchase on the spot. They punch your info into the phone and if your insane or a felon it lets them know, so they don't sell you the gun.

That's what's wonderful about this country. The right to bear arms.

RE: Check This Out

Ron, what they did was perfectly legal and the way it is supposed to be done.
1)they shipped it to a dealer
2)they identified the person purhcasing the gun
3)in America they are alot more lax on long guns than handguns

You have successfully pointed out what I have been getting at this whole time. This web site claims no ID check and shipping to your home.

RE: Check This Out

Well, it's based on the capacity of the arena. And i'm not sure how they define "arena". Whenever i go downtown, i usually take my gun, but leave it in the car. It's not much fun carting it around an auto show or something anyway, and i might scare someone pulling it out to stick it in a locker.

There's also a scale on how long you lose your CCW for if caught drinking, based on your BAC.

RE: Check This Out

I just got off the phone with the Guy from Skorpion and its Legit all right 100% but..........
the hanguns are REPLICAS that have the barrels crossed to where they can only fire blanks, he stated to me these guns are for "starting, feild stripping and display purpouses"

Yeah like Ive been to a 100m dash where the starter used a Desert Eagle !!!!

RE: Check This Out

Hmmm. Internationally-registered and administered. Better check local, State, Federal AND International law prior to ordering...
