As everyone has seen on the news, Southern California is on fire!
As some of you already know, I own a company which allows you to write reviews for restaurants and hotels, while at the same time donating funds to Food Banks around the nation and around the world!

I just got off the phone with the American Red Cross in Washington D.C, I have just set up a link on We8there.com allowing anyone to donate funds to help the victims of the Southern California Fire Storms, I challenge the members of LOD to help. One day we may need the help of the American Red Cross ourselves. Remember some of our LOD brother's and sister's may also be in need of some help.

Go to www.we8there.com and look for the American Red Cross Link. Please follow the instruction's carefully so you donate to the correct fund!

RE: So Cal Fire storms

Some friends recently moved there and I heard they lost their house. Too bad, so sad!

RE: So Cal Fire storms

Lived there a long time.....a long time ago....When the fires broke out, you could feel the panic in the air...the fires would move so fast thru developments, they'd just burn tree trunks and not the branches and leaves up above...

With homes and developments in the firestorm, the firemen have thermometers with them..if your house gets to 150+° inside, the fire team moves to the next house....it cant be saved...When the hottest homes hit a certain point, they explode in flames...Adios house....thats why you see them burned completley to the ground...they go up all at once.
Its all bad news.

This is where I get bummed out. Instead of spending 50 billion dollars on antoher country, why did we not keep that money and use it on our own people? Why are we trying to feed the poor in other countries when we have people starving here? WHy not take care of you own first?

Simply because if you provide help for other countries financially, their rulers will bow down whenever you need anything. Its all politics, no one donates out of their hearts anymore, not politically anyways.

I'm not an American, but I donated some $$$$. That's a drag. There was a weird topic on an LA radio station. It was taking a poll if people from NY would help out as much as CA helped them out. The majority said "NO". Why is this so? Do people from CA feel alienated from the rest of the USA? Why do the poeple in CA feel alone? Anyone?

RE: So Cal Fire storms

Most of the world believe that everyone in California is Rich.....and that we all own 4000 sq ft homes with our HUMMERS and our S500 Benz's ....So why would anyone want to help the Rich crazy Californian's is the question some people ask!
