What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

What are you doing for Thanksgiving.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving.

Sandy,
You forgot one choice-Working. I'll be working a 12 hour shift on Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a great one.

I just tried to EDIT it and it would not let me.....more than 30 minutes. It also would not let ME vote, since I created it. Politics again! :9

I voted for staying home with the family, although yesterday I had pseudo-Thanksgiving at my brother's girlfriend's house. Her mom is going to be out of town this weekend, so they had it a week early and invited a bunch of us over.

For the real Thanksgiving, I'm planning on doing a whole lot of not a damn thing :)

I'm going to the grandparents for a Turkey Day lunch and then off to work a 7 hour shift. I don't really mind though. Getting holiday pay for 7 hours is nice :)

I've got a love/hate THANG going with Thanksgiving now...

It HAS been my favorite holiday because it's NOT about shopping, spending money, & buying presents- just good food.

Now, it's getting to be a hassle... all the bickering & squabbling about who's gonna have it. My mother always insists on hosting it, complaining all the while about all the cooking & preparation. My sister & I have offerred to relieve her of the burden, only to be rebuffed with the same old tired excuse... "well, the grandparents are getting too old to travel that far." I think they can endure an hour-long car ride. They drive all over the place- especially if there's free food involved!

So, now I just say "whatever..." I'll put in my appearance for a few hours, then take my leave.

Going to pick up mother in law up from airport. She is flying in from St. Louis and then going to my moms cousins house for dinner.
