I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong spot, but this forum gets the most views.

I am no longer going to be able to operate Lincoln Motorsport West.
My fathers health is getting worse and he can no longer run his construction company. So I have to quit working on cars to run the company for him to assure my parents way of life.My mom still works but doesn't make enough to soley support the family.

I will still be around on the board when I have time. And I will continue to answer as many questions as I can for you guys.I will miss this work dearly, but I have to do whats best for my family.

I at first wanted to be able to do both, but lately I have been doing a poor job at LMSwest with customer service. And That is not acceptable.

If anyone needs anything at all Geno is still around and in my opinion the best source for knowledge and parts this site has EVER had.He lives and breathes this stuff, usually for not enough reward.Guys like him dont do it for the money though (obviously) they do it as a passion for these cars, and a passion to help people.
Most of you have it but his number is 1 856 456 3605 and of course the website is www.lincolnmotorsport.com

Geno, and Dujuan I will call you guys in a few days. I apologize for my lack of availability. Its all on my side. You guys have been amazing to work with.

RE: I cant do this anymore

Well Chris I for one am very sad to hear this. You've been quite an asset to the LOD. I'm sure, however, that you will always find a way to keep your hand in this. Be sure you make it to Carlisle next year and not in a rental this time!

RE: I cant do this anymore

You need to do what is best Chris, you parents are lucky to have you. We al know that you wont loose your passion for cars and that you will still be around when you can find the time.

RE: I cant do this anymore

I know how you feel, i quit my job at the airport to run my dad's hardware store for him, its tough, but im sure your parents will appreciate it, GOOD LUCK!

RE: I cant do this anymore

And Chris - there's always tomorrow. You just never know when the chance will return.

RE: I cant do this anymore

'Ya know what, Chris?
Your parents have a really terrific Son! :)

My best to you & yours, and a full recovery to Dad. Bless You!

RE: I cant do this anymore

Sorry to hear that Chris, but as has been said before.
"do what you HAVE to do".

Your presence, knowlegde and insight will be missed, try and check in on us from time to time.

Take care of POP Chris...
your a good MAN!

RE: I cant do this anymore

Good luck with it Chris. You've always been an upstanding kinda guy, and your parents must be very proud of you. Don't be a stranger, though, you're too much fun even when you aren't working on cars. ;-)

All my best.

P.S. Don't forget to send me your address so I can send you the calendar next month (but you have to promise not to make fun of all the crap I wrote on it) :)

RE: I cant do this anymore

Chris,

Sorry to hear about your dad's health. I hope it improves.

Your humor and knowledge have helped make the club's boards a great place to visit.

I hope to see you again at All-Ford Carlisle.

RE: I cant do this anymore

I'll still be around. I just cant do both jobs.
And I haven't missed a Carlisle since I found this club.I'd like to keep it that way.

And who knows what the future has in store. I still have a passion for these cars.

Nobility-
1 : the quality or state of being noble in character, quality, or rank
2 : the body of persons forming the noble class in a country or state : ARISTOCRACY

Chris,

I knew that I liked you. Now I know.

Good fortune waits for you. You and your family are in my prayers. Stay in touch!

RE: I cant do this anymore

Chris,

Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he gets better soon. Who knows after you get adjusted to the business you may find the time to wrench on these cars again. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

RE: I cant do this anymore

Just wanted to offer a few words of support also. It seems you have more than one family who thinks very highly of you. We basically all do what we have to do. Your LOD family is fully supportive of your decision. Going public with youf situation takes courage. Best wishes to you and your Dad.

RE: I cant do this anymore

This board really has been like a second family and your thoughts and opinions mean a lot.As do your kind words.

Unfortunately there have been some people that I have neglected lately, and for that I am truely sorry. You guys know who you are.

To delve a little deeper my Mother just got a clean bill of health after a rough battle with ovarian cancer. She suffered through the most aggressive form of chemo that there is.
The effects of the chemo are still bothering her tremendously. Her joints ache terribly all the time. She cant sit still for more than 20-30 minutes cause her legs lock up.Shes still going through PT but that only makes the aches worse. They dont know if it will ever get better.

This on top of the extremely stressfull construction world is too much for my father to take.Stress related heart problems has had him in and out of the hospital for the last month or so.
The doctor told him he needs to remove some of the stress from his life or it would kill him.
He just turned 63, so we need to keep him collectnig a paycheck for another 2 1/2 years to collect full retirement benifits. So I will be running the day to day operations of the company and I will keep his name as the sole proprieter untill hes 65 1/2.

As long as some of the stress is removed he should be okay. They are going on a cruise in 2 weeks, that should help a lot.

Thanks again for everyones kind words. And dont worry about me, I'll still be around.

RE: I cant do this anymore

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Hope your father can get well. Stop by when you get the chance. I'm sure plenty of LOD members will lend ya an ear if you need to talk.

RE: I cant do this anymore

Chris
You, my friend, are what make parents proud. You take care of your father and the business. These other things will work themselves out.

RE: I cant do this anymore

Chris, I wish you and your family good health and fortune. I hope all goes well. I look forward to meeting you at Carlisle. Happy ThanksGiving,

-Joe Michael

Chris, I dont know you, nor have I done business with you before. But reading what others have written about you, and reading what you wrote in this post defines your ways in my eyes. You are a good man. Dont ever second guess your decision. It is the right one.
