Growing on me

RE: Growing on me

It grew on me the first time I saw it. I will add one to my garage upon return from "Trashcanistan". This is the reason my 79 Hurst Olds is for sale!

RE: Growing on me

Saw it in the new MT - definitely looks good. Powerful, handsome and classic, but maybe a bit "too classic". The real test is to see one in person.

Somewhere between the concept and the production car, they went more towards the past than the future.

The pic is from NAIAS 04. The car looks awesome in person, I didn't like the stripes though.

RE: Growing on me

I dont like the front - whatsoever.

BMW is exactly what I thought too when I first saw it.

However, rest of the car looks good though.

Funny, I hated the rear, or at least the early concept versions. The tail lights looked cheesy as hell. I haven't seen a picture of the supposed production version though. Anyone got a shot of it from the rear? I'm too lazy to look for myself.

As for the rest of it, it kicks ass!

RE: Growing on me

I think it's awesome. The best style that's been produced in my lifetime anyway. I wasn't around in the 60's or 70's, so I guess I kinda like how the style is a little retro. It doesn't really bother me.

RE: Growing on me

Thanks for the link Joey. Yeah, it's not as bad as the concept cars from the rear, but I still don't like it. I wish they'd gone with the concave panel like on the 67-68's, and smaller lenses or separate them more. That'd look awesome on a fastback!

RE: Growing on me

Heck of a link, Joey - - Thanks!
I like that Pacific Coast T-Bird Roadster. Same color as my T.C.
Love the new Mustang. SUDDENLY it's 1967 all over again.

RE: Growing on me

From the moment I 1st saw a picture of one ...I want it bad !!
I said the same thing about the Mark VIII in 1993,but couldn't afford one till 2002.
So unless I hit lotto I guess I'll have one by the year 2013.
