GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

The last time he was here at my house he was with his daughter that is in the Military and is stationed at McGuire AFB right up the road from me.

They stopped over and hungout for a while, his daughter was so nice and polite, just like her Father who was truly a well spoken Gentleman in every respect.

These two were such a breath of fresh air from the typical NJers that I am used to. It was more then a pleasure to have them over.

Lee was so pasionate about everything that had to do with his Mark, we spent the first few moments of introduction watching him wipe down the Mark with Quick Detailer in my driveway as we talked.

Great Guy through and through. What a sad and terrible loss.
It's ALWAYS the Good ones.

I really hope someone sends Kathy an Email so she can read this thread. I really think this will make her smile.

RIP Lee you were a Good Customer and a GREAT friend.

This photo was made at Carlisle in 2003......

Lee was a good guy, a vet, retired Military. We traded a few "war stories" about places we may have crossed paths.....there were several........

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

I met Lee at Carlisle this year. We chatted for awhile about Lincolns and about loud exhaust. He seemed like a great guy and i'm sorry we won't see him there again this year. :(

I just spoke to Lee's wife, Katherine and expressed my sympathy as well as the combined membership of the club herein, and gave her our URL and asked her to view the many heartfelt sentiments herein. She said she would and would print them as a keepsake. I feel really sad about this. If I was anywhere near them, I'd go to the funeral. She mentioned Tommy XLRVIII to me, and hoped he'd make it.

We're planning on making the trip, Sandy.

Not the way I planed on visiting Lee, but I wouldn't feel right if I didn't say goodbye.

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

We will sure miss seeing Lee at Carlisle this year. We met him last year, and really enjoyed visiting with him.

You might want to go to my above post and print out the picture of Lee at Carlisle last year with his first Mark VIII and several of our LOD Club members and officers including Alexander, our President.

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

Im thinking.. "print this WHOLE thread".
make a booklet out of it.
Take 10-20 copies with us and hope we dont run out.

I guess we can snail mail copies to those at the funeral if we dont have enough.

I think this thread would be a fitting tribute, and I'm sure his family members would love to see what "Lee's friends" have had to say.

AS the day grows closer....
I STILL MISS LEE!

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

I will be printing the "whole thread" and taking many copies for friends and family.

I'll print it all out on Friday morning, that way everyone has time to post there thoughts and wishes.

I think I'll be printing the pictures on some photo paper, I'll have see how much ink and paper I have though.

RE: GOODBYE Lee Head! R.I.P.

saw this a little late but I also want to convey my heart felt condolences.
Rest in Peace Lee.
