I am considering converting the Evil One to a full time "Trailer Queen" show car and looking to add some really cool features... (not Stickers or Noz) something classic! If you have any suggestions please forward them to me....If you are interested in sponsoring "The Evil One" email me how you would contribute. I am also taking donations for the project via Pay Pal sroberts@we8there.com... Please no smart comments, I have always wanted to do this and my wife has given me the ok her quote was " as long as the bills get paid you can do what ever you want to the car"

RE: looking for some real suggestions!!!

One of the guys in the NY area has done some really neat things to his Mark, including putting the fuel filler behind the tail light. Geno and Chris have put a lot of work into customizing their Marks. You're starting with a beautiful, sleek car so it'd be hard to screw that up. Good luck!

What about shaving the mirrors and going with a CCTV camera system instead.

RE: looking for some real suggestions!!!

It's a great car but you need a concept and a whole plan/idea.. That's the hard part lol! First, you definitely need some different rims if you are going to make it 100% trailer/show--next definitely something different with the paint-not necessarily a new paint job but maybe something to make it stand out from the crowd--I have grey opalescent but it has chrome flakes in the clear coat which really gives it a totally custom look for a fraction of a totally custom price---what about getting some candy apple red flakes? that would really dress it up and the cost wouldnt be too bad>Then the engine:twin turbos and superchargers are great and all that but get pretty expensive if you are going to be doing other stuff to the car. I would just do about everything under the sun that LMS offers for the mark 8 then mess with the suspension either the Kale mod or take it up a notch with some fast bags(about a $1000) then maybe hookup the engine by making it really clean and detailed and everything in the engine having a colorized theme such as red or silver wires, covers, paint ect(spray paint the plastic covers and such)then the interior-do you have wood? if so kit it out-get a kit and get all the extras---get an LMS face gauge kit for the dash. Make sure that the car drives 100% and that the interior is 100% too; if there are any marks or chips or damage to the interior check out the for sale section of the board and get new pieces or go to ebay. How are your headlights? if bad either get new ones or go for the HID's. There's alot to do lol!!! As I am doing the same now with my 93 mark 8-I am 20 in school and live at home and my mom is flipping out because of all the car stuff sitting in the basement hallway-I got new leather seats-console-door panels and a whole mess of stuff taking up soo much room lol! Good luck--if you want to see some pics of my car with the flake I can email them to you-it really does add alot to the car!

RE: looking for some real suggestions!!!

You definitely have to lower the beasty. There's too much space in the wheel wells.

Gimme a better pic and I'll create a better edit...

Stanley, all new air suspension, with kale's custom switches. that car already looks awesome, now imagine it "dumped" on the ground.

The two tone is a nice touch, although I dont care for the Gold and Black. That just isnt Mark VIII material.

You really need to do something under the hood too. A show car always has to have a flashy engine compartment. perhaps you could customize the engine beauty cover with a paint scheme to match the exterior.

the rims are beautiful on that car. I would suggest a much wider tire, some custom engine "appearance", and a suspension that is both "useable" and "slam-able" with the hit of a switch.

I think your decision is a wise one. Your car is very deceiving. It has some miles on it, but yet appears BRAND NEW. Now is the time to decide. Dump money into it as a "driver", or delicately "place" money into it, as a show car.

be forwarned though: Car show people suck! :)
I have been to several hundred car shows in my life. I have found that no matter how nice your car is, there is always someone who thinks their car is nicer. They constanly pick pick pick about what mods you have, throw a few obligatory compliments your way, and wander off, back to their car.

I think you will find that a Mark VIII will raise many eyebrows. Most people either forgot about them, dont know what the hell it is, or wonder why you chose that car to "customize". Enjoy the rarity.

I will sponsor you. I dont have the funds, but you can have my time. I can help with the tooling, mechanical work, and PR work. But you have to bring your car to my shop.

BTW, I have a trailer for sale! its our trailer for our drag car. 18 fot "Drag-Master". Hi-boy(you can open the doors to get in and out, instead of climbing through windows!), 4 new 8 ply tires, a winch, a tool box, a spare, electric brakes, and it tows like a dream(for you "trailer queen). $2500.00 for you($3k for anyone else)

Just one question: what do you plan on towing your "trailer queen" with? The KRON van? :)
