I got a ricemobile.

I got myself a new car. 1998 Honda Prelude. Complete with Spoiler, 7500rpm redline and a high reving 4 banger! Car came loaded with Leather, and a moonroof and a Sportshift transmission (very neat). But it doesn't have keyless entry!! Arg!!
In case anyone wonders how it compares to my mark here is a small breakdown.

Pros.
*Brakes are much better than on my mark, car stops much faster.
*Handling!! WOW, completely different than my mark, no bodyroll whatsoever, car eats corners as if it was a straight road.
*Stereo. The Stock Stereo on this Prelude sounds much BETTER and clearer than the stock stereo on the mark.
*The Autostick feature is quite neat, you can let it rev until 8k and then shift into 2nd. Very very firm shifts.
*This car actually comes with LIGHTS!! lol no comparison to the mark, you can actually see the road at night.
*More legroom than in the mark!
*90k Transmission services !
*Seats hug you quite well.
*Car is tons of fun to drive and feels very solid.
*NO VIBRATION PROBLEMS!

Cons.
*Slower than the Mark.
*No keyless Entry
*Car is fairly small, and unless i fold the seat back my head hits the roof. If the seats are all the way back there is almost no room for back seat passengers.
* Ride is very stiff compared to the mark!
*Transmission shifts pretty firm I like the Marks seamless shifts more.
*No gadgets on this car, (That onboard computer from the mark is quite something.)
*No power seats, don’t really care much for that though.
*Car takes premium just like the mark. And the oil capacity is listed at 5.1 Quarts with filter change that’s more than a 4.6 SOHC Crown vic!

Gool luck with it Max, you can have keyless entry instaled if you want at most car audio shops and get remote start as well.

Yea, I was just a little surprised since all the cars i've had pretty much had keyless entry.

I'm not a big fan of FWD vehicles, but if I were to buy one, this is one I would buy. I've always liked the Prelude, it is nicely powered for a 4 banger and the handling and braking are quite well for it's class of vehicle. Good luck with it.

Definitely a nice ride; and thats coming from an anti-rice person lol. Yeah the Prelude is definitely on my acceptable list, Good Luck and please no graphics lol!

LoL I got a VTEC sticker on the back!!! Woweee!

As to what happened to the mark. I still drive it, it got rear ended, but i didn't fix it because it wasn't worth it, so part of the insurance money that i got is in this car ;-). Mark doesn't look bad at all but i'm just not going to put any money into that car.

I know that the 97-01 CR-V's all have the keyless receiver built-in (just like all the Marks) so you might want to poke around Temple of VTEC or whatnot and see if you just need a fob.

Max, did you keep the Crown Vic? if so, sweet. How about the one key element affecting us california residents lately? Gas Milage??? I bet it gets well above 26mpg average, huh?

Good for you. Brenda was looking at V-TEC Quelude's before we bought her Mark. Pricey little suckers, huh?

If I were ever to buy a 2-door FWD sport compact, it would be that exact car, in black. Nice job Max.

Yup I got the Vic, but I got it for my dad so he is the one driving it, this one is mine as is the mark. I wish I could do some mods to the Mark but i can't bear to look at it when its not "perfect" and making it perfect is not worth it. So my mark will stay the way it is for now and still get pampered with mobil 1 and 20k transmission services etc etc.

Oh one more thing i don't know about the gas milage yet since i haven't insured the car (i just got it Saturday). So it is in the garage for now. The Vic gets 21.8mpg, my mark gets 20.4mpg. We'll see what this sucker will get, it had about 1/4 tank when i got it... i reved the hell out of it for about 50 miles so now its almoust down to nothing hehehe. I was surprised that it gets premium though, i'm guessing it is reving so high.
