Million Dollar Bill!

RE: Million Dollar Bill!

Me too. I saw one once in a novelty-type store. It does really look legit. They wanted $25.00 for it.

RE: Million Dollar Bill!

Did she really think she was going to get $998,325 in change for that bill?

Somehow an arrest for forgery does not seem appropriate, as most reasonable people know that there is no such thing as $1,000,000 note.

The largest bills that were put into circulation were $500 and $1000, but they have not been printed since 1946. There have been notes made in larger denominations up to $100,000, but these were only used internally to transfer money betweeen government offices. These also have not been used since the forties. The transfers have been done since then by paper and later electronically.

Maybe it is time to bring back those large notes, so the congressmen can get a feel of how they are spending the taxpayers' money.
