Chrysler's home-run hit, the 300C, will get a boost to 425 hp for the 2006 model year. With a boost in displacement for its Hemi engine, the newly minted 300C SRT-8 will bump up to 6.1 liters of Hemi power and a full 425 hp, the same power that the best Hemis of the '60s produced. In addition to the hot engine, SRT-8s also receive a chin spoiler, a small rear spoiler, a new rear fascia and larger exhaust tips; four-piston caliper Brembo brakes; a race-tuned suspension with 20-inch wheels and tires; and sport bucket seats with suede inserts, as well as a 60-mph acceleration time of about 5.0 seconds

I've been rather impressed with the looks of the new 300, just because it stands out, and sort of reminds me of the Bentley styling. Now they're going to put a 425 hp engine to go along with it??? I gotta say, something like that looks very tempting.....if I had the $$$. Meanwhile, Lincoln is making what for people like us??? Garbage, 4 door, Euro-looking pieces of crap? Thank God we got the good cars that they made. ::grrr::

You never know maybe they will with this version, but i doubt it otherwise they would have mentioned it in this article. Chrysler 300 has been selling crazy over here, its hard to get them at sticker price especially the HEMI.

Yeah, those 300's are HOT! If I had some money I would look into getting one of those. The only thing I don't like is the chrome grill, it needs to be painted the same color as the car like the 2nd gen LSC's. I not much of a chrome guy.

Looks like Fo'tens are going to be a must have mod, just so we can stay in the game.

They're talking about using that engine in a Dodge Charger. That will probably have a stick transmission as an option. This 300C SRT-8 should hit the market in February, 2005.
