All I want to say is just be mindful of the quantity and placement so as not to 'clutter' the forum, please. This is, after all, supposedly a car site.
Personally, I do not care for long cut 'n paste jobs from other sites... just giving the link and outlining key points of debate if possible would be much more preferential.
Please abide by site rules and please exercise restraint in your replies to heated discussions.

Ditto what driller said. I prefer legit sources, and as he said, this is a car board. so many posts about different consipiricies look silly.

If anyone is offended or does not like these topics they do not have to read, post, or reply to them. The glove box is for unrelated non car discussions and or sensless humor topics is it not? I love all the stupid brain fart topics as well as intellectual topics that might stir up the pot a little bit. If topics like this are not allowed then this is no better than the FCC trying to squeeze our right to free speech, or our right to speak out for what we believe!!! Weather you like Bush ( I DON"T) or like Kerry ( still on the cuff ) it should not matter and every one of us should act like grown people when discussing these topics, BUT these topics SHOULD be allowed if anyone should want to discuss or post as they please as long as it is civil. :7
These topics are only controversial to the closed minded!!! Even though my opinion of BUsh is not a good one I listen to all that he say's and watched all of the republican convention as well as the democrats. I am 26yrs old and I know I am probably one of the younger people around so I should not have to post how people older than I should act, however sometimes everyone needs to see both sides before one can make an opinion. Anyway's sorry for the long post, I am just kind of worked up about this whole election thing and the way people don't see things from both sides.....This goes along with life in general as well. If you don't like what I have to say that is fine too...that would be your opinion just as this is mine but we should all be able to state what we feel as long as we keep it civil. blah blah blah.....blah blah blah

The problem is that people don't get fired up over brain fart topics like they do over politics. The two worst topics to debate are politics and religion, because everyone has an opinion they will fight for.
And coming from a 22 year old Christian, I am so sick of being told that by sticking to my beleifs that I am being close minded to the rest of the world. Not saying that you said that to me Carlo, I realize that you are not making any personal attacks.

Well, I was considering PMing you, but since you ask:
Basically, I agree totally with what Driller says.
In my own words, I feel that if you want to post a link to another board where the topic is being discussed, that's fine. But we're a different group. If we want to be discussing politics that intensely, we'd go to a political forum (which I still think it would be nice if we had here).
I just haven't had time to read everything you've posted - it's too long and too much. I think you should be allowed to post them if you wish to. However, for the type of in-depth discussion you wish, you do have another forum, and we have all been welcomed there (yes, I signed up there, but I haven't been activated yet and haven't had time to follow up on it).
So I'm not voting, cause none of those choices are quite how I feel.
But yeah, if you come across something really interesting, bring it here to discuss, but IMO if it's a discussion you are having on another board, well.... just ask us to join you there to discuss it.

I have to ditto on what Driller said. First and foremost this is a car club. Intelligent discussion of current events are fine. But to be honest have not seen any political postings/discussions from anyone here, not just you, that have had any value to me.

I like to discuss political topics, but i don't like taking time to try to answer the far-out stuff, like accusing Bush of being behind 9/11. And i don't like the cut and paste jobs.
I think we should have a political forum, but that idea was shot down.
If you have an interest in politics, I suggest you run for office in the club. We need volunteers, we need uniters not dividers. And i'm sure you've seen some of the politics aired out in the round table forum.
