RE: A new use for beer

Since SAB bought Miller a couple years ago, they are neck and neck with AB in worldwide sales and volume. This is not the same as domestic, but SAB, being a maker of fine import beer, will bring import taste to Miller, as you will read below.
And everyone packages beer with CO2, not just AB. Miller now has less package oxygen because of some serious cash SAB has put into Miller. Miller's Total Package Oxygen (TPO) values are a lot less than AB's. We know this because we have some married couples where one works at AB and one at Miller.
And that law suit only pulled the ads for the folks yelling at the AB plant with the bullhorn. It had nothing to do with taste or freshness. Even AB admits that Miller's beer is less stale.
Oh yeah...one more thing. When Bud drinkers that chose Miller in blind taste tests where asked if they would switch, most replied, "No...I will only drink Bud." Interesting rationale...(Quote)
First off the Miller had to pull the ads because they used Bud Light that was out of code in the test. SAB as a whole is up and SAB isn't neck and neck with A-B. A-B is still out in front of the pack. The Ads with the refs were also pulled. Coors Light is still above Miller in sales.
My family owns a distributorship that handles A-B, Becks, Corona, Petes, and Sam Adams along with a list of others. Sam Adams does contract out some of its brewing, but ALL Sam Adams beer is Sam Adams beer and doesn't have a thing to do with SAB at all. Sam Adams still has breweries in the New England areas. also it is only certain Sam Adams products that are sub-brewed out. The mix for Sam Adams Beer is seperate from what is used in Miller beer.
If you count Corona A-B has the top domestic and top import selling Beer in America. A-B now has controling interest in Corona. It will be along time before A-B is taken off the top. I got the chance to hear the head of SAB speak back in Oct. at the NWBA conventio. He has alot of good thoughts and will bring the company up, but when push comes to shove A-B will push harder. Did you know that one of the top selling beers over the past year has been Mich Ultra, Others have tried to take away from it (Aspen for example), but it is still untouchable. The Aspen guys around here even tried to give it away to the stores in hopes of them buying it, but even that didn't work.
