That would look great parked with the LOD at Carlisie this year.

Wanna go halvsies? }(

Since you need a Mark anyways... :+

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

JP that is very tempting, but the wife would kill me if she found out I own half of a Mark 8 limo.

mlschultz,

Now that is a thought. Any members interested?????????

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

We should get a photo of that for our club photo collection.

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

Do we have anyone close by that could get a few pics and a good inspection?

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

I think that's about what our membership numbers are right now, and i don't see us being able to get everyone to throw in $50 to buy a limo that half will never be able to see or ride in.

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

The club talked about getting the 93 Mark that won the speed recorded a while back. There are a lot of logistics and cost involved. Storage, maintenance, and insurance. For a club our size it is just not realistic for us. We would need a philanthropic member to buy it and keep it and bring it to events. The person would need some land just to park that thing.

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

Since we are a non-profit club, does that mean charitable contributions are tax deductible? }(

$7500/100 = $75 each
$7500/75 = $100 each
$7500/50 = $150 each
$7500/30 = $250 each
$7500/20 = $375 each
$7500/10 = $750 each
$7500/5 = $1500 each
$7500/2 = $3750 each

It could be like a time-share program! :7

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

Even though it isn't really likely the club would be able to afford it, just the thought of it is cool. Just think of the limo making a trip around the US. Starting in the Northeast, heading south and then to the mid-west and finally to the west coast and then back around again. Stopping at club events and car shows along the way. Storage wouldn't be to big of a problem as it would not be staying in one set place most of the time.

As for maintance I think we have enough people here that could help out in doing most of the general up keep. Talk about a way to get other Lincoln owners to know about the club. Maybe have LOD decals put on it.

Just some of ramblings here.

Maintenance probably wouldn't be the issue for the most part with the diverse group we have. I bet the insurance would kill the deal though. Steve's probably right, it most likely would take a philanthropic member{read that as certified nutzoid}, to own, maintain and tour the vehicle for the club.

Ha, decals. :7 A 40 foot ricer. Imagine a dragon down the side of that thing! :7 I wonder what the 1/4 mile ET in that would be!? }( It might help to move the battery in the trunk!? :7

RE: 1993 Mark VIII Limo!!!

I was thinking something simple like the words Lincolns of Distinction
along the doors. This way people would know the club name. Insurance might be an issue, but only way to know is if you call around. Never count out the options available to the club. This might not be possible right now, but you never know what might happen down the road.

Wonder what te inside looks like.
