this would suck...ever seen the rear straps brake on a 900hp car when they hit the "juice"?

scary moment. good brakes though!

Phranquy and I were at that car show. Our cars were parked about 1 block south of the dyno. We missed seeing this car on the dyno though. Although I'm kind of glad I didn't see it. If I had been standing in front of the car when it got loose, I would definitely need a change of shorts.

Did any of you check out the video of the crash at the intersection?

The pedestrian walking across the street gets taken out.

I had to see it a few times to believe it!

That's why you never stand in front of or behind a car on the dyno.

The straps were melted by the exhaust and then broke.

yup. That's even worse...you think they'd check that before making a pull.

Looks like it wasnt "quick braking" that stopped the car either...it drove OVER the front straps, and stopped when they went tight in the other direction.
