Well it is almost official. I am going Sunday to trade in my SVT Focus on a 1998 Mark VIII LSC. I have to drive 4 hours each way but it will be worth it. Only thing is I need to cross my fingers that they do not sell it before I can get there. I have to admit I am rather excited. It is Ivory Pearl Exterior and Ivory Interior. And yes it has Ocstar wheels and 54000 on the odometer. Wish me luck. I cannot wait to be back in the fold.

Mark VIII to Focus to Mark VIII. Didn't you get that Focus so that you can save money on gas?! Prices are crazy right now and you still want a Mark, that must mean there is more to the story eh }( ?!

This is killing me. I am sitting at work and all I can think of is picking up my new used Mark VIII tomorrow. I cannot wait to get on the road tomorrow. I did get a call today confirming that it does have the ocstar rims YEAH! I have never felt so excited about a car before. Which is odd because I was never this excited when I got my 1st Mark VIII back in 2001. I do know one of my 1st changes will be to find a factory cd player as this car only has a tape deck. Should not prove too difficult though. Then this week I need to make her shine for a car show that I have memorial day weekend. I will for sure post pics as soon as I have her in my posession and home. I have a feeling that the minute a get in the drivers seat it will be like reconnecting with an old friend. I have a big problem with this... who are we going to tell little car jokes about now? Will you at least put decals all over it so we can poke fun at that? Please?

Leo, sorry man no decals on this beauty. I really would love to make Carlisle now with this new car, but alas it will not happen. I think I am really going to enjoy this ivory color. This week will see it getting clay blocked, z1, and about 3 coats of z2. With any luck I could only hope to get it looking as nice as your Moose! The little car jokes had to stop somewhere and the time was right. Oh well I am sure you will find something else to joke with me about.

Seems luck is not on my side. I just got a voice mail with 2 hours till the dealer closes that because I could not get there today to pick the car up it has sold to another buyer. Darn. Oh well I guess the search is really on now. I need to find one soon and closer so that I can get it in an evening. Insert string of bad words here!:(

No unfortunatly I am serious. Because I could not pick up the car till tomorrow it sold today. They never even mentioned the deposit option and I did not think of it. I figured it would be like many other Mark VIII's and sit on the lot for a long time. It was just not ment to be I guess. Oh well the search is on to find one just as good or better. I will hold out and wait until I can get just what I want. Still does not make me feel better though.

I am holding out for the right one to show up. I want Ivory Pearl or Opel Pearl exterior on an LSC. Keep your fingers crossed as I would love for it to happen very soon. It is spring now and people are looking to get new cars, which means that some may show up soon. Sorry for this dissappointment, maybe I should have waited to post till it was 100 percent sure, but I for sure thought it was. I made it to the last 3 hours and then bam it was gone.

I don't understand why they didn't ask you for a deposit - that's the first thing they ask for around here ;(

I haven't seen many in the local auto traders this year, either.
