Well after many years of being in customer service, Parts Departments, and general low paying low respect jobs I am making a change. I am pleased to tell everyone that I have moved into a salesperson position at one of my local Ford dealers. It is great to help people with their car decisions as well as be around a product I know and strongly believe in. I know that to most of you this would not be a life changing move, but to me it most certainly is. My life will be better because of it and I will finally be in a job that I love. Thank you for letting me prattle on. This club contains my most valued freinds, so I know that this is the place that I can publically announce my happiness.

Congrats!! I really hope that Ford comes out with some new more competative products that will make your life as a salesguy easier. Ford needs to get that European Focus over here and offer something that will compete with the camry!!

Congratulations Bill! Despite what some may think you can actually make a lot of money in car sales if you approach the job properly and build a good client base. Remember Sandy from this board, he knows all the ins and outs. I have a car show friend who has been a car salesman for nearly 60 years and he's still working! He calls himself an Automologist and one of his best clients is James Brown.

So this means you'll be driving some form of Ford by next Carlisle!

Thank you all so much for the words of encouragement. The European Focus is stated to come to the U.S. in the next year or two from what I have been reading lately. Yes Leo I will probably show up at Carlisle 2007 in a Marauder or maybe something even faster if I can. I understand we will be the first dealer in our area to carry a Mustang GT500 but supply and demand dictate pricing. So look for it to be sold at about 20k over list. I vow that I will not lie, cheat, and steal to make sales. I am going into this with a good Christian attitude and firm ethical beliefs. I also hope this is a long lucrative career.

Hope you get a big employee discount on your Mark VIII now. Will you have someone on the "inside" who can check the auctions for your dream car?? :p
