Car Show

I hadn't seen BigFoot in action for years! :) This was the ride that caught my eye...

Anyone recognize the make/model?

Here's where I show that I'm as dumb as paint. I do know that it's a chopped and dropped resto-mod of a 40's car but that's all. Still ... if you took all the money that I spent on repairs, it wouldn't equal what's in that engine bay :)

RE: Car Show

I'm going to guess it's a Merc 53 ish with extensive body mods, and unfortunately a Chebby (GM) motor, but hey it sure looks sweet and has a lot of detail to it.

I never saw anyone at the vicinity of the car to talk to them. More than one show attendee told me afterwards it was a heavily modified Lincoln. :)

It appears to most closely resemble this 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan...

or this 1951 Lincoln Lido...

I must have Lincoln blood. :7

RE: Car Show

Actually I think that is two cars in one. The grill and front clip look to be from a 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan while the body is more like that of a 1953 Capri.

RE: Car Show

I think you're probably right. The side panels say Mercury while the front says Lincoln. Tough to find shots to compare, especially the interior.

If it's local, I'll probably see it again at another show in the future and make a point of talking to the owner.
