Everyone is invited to get together with the New England chapter LOD members at the Chateau Restaurant in Norwood MA on July 12th or 19th, majority rules. We will be meeting in their lot on route 1 in Norwood MA for some car talk and then going inside for lunch. It is a chance to get to know fellow New England Mark VIII enthusiasts, check out a bunch of fine Mark VIIIs, and have some good Italian food. We will be splitting the bill for lunch between us so bring some cash. If you like the company maybe we can persuade you to join us in Connecticut for some fun on the Lake on the 26th.

Hey Frank, whatever happened to that $300 per meet or per year or whatever each chapter is due? Tell who's ever in charge of the checkbook to write out a check for our official NE meeting. either make it out to the restaurant or just get the cash to bring.

might as well get some extra cash to put up the out of towners in a fancy 5 star hotel and I can use some spending money too.

This is how I see it. The LOD will contribute 300 dollars per year for member events so I think asking them to contribute to the combined NY/NE event will benefit more members. I have opened this event up to all Lincoln owners on both boards, regardless of their membership. Even though I feel it would behoove the LOD to sponsor events that bring Lincoln owners together, potentially bolstering membership, this is not their policy. So, if by some weird happenstance an abundance of LOD members show up, I will pick up the tab and submit it to the treasurer for reimbursement but if non members join us it is only fair to everyone to pitch in and split the tab.

So an official meet only gets money if it specifically excludes non-members?! hmmm seems like an odd way of getting those other enthusiasts to kick in their $20 a year an become members. If I remember correctly at last year's meet only like 3 of us were official members and we convinced a bunch of guys to join up.

Ok, it is a no go for me :(((

After being out of work a couple of days, I cant afford to not be there on saturday...I sure am bummed big time.

I hope to meet/see all of you here in CT tho, when we have the lake meet!!!
