I checked the Amerisuites site, and they still have rooms, but they are more expensive ($69 a night).
I had called the other day to check on group discounts, but they didn't have a better rate than hotels.com so I dropped it.
Steve - can you try to negotiate with the hotel? Let's talk - one of us should see if we can do something.

i'm booked at holiday inn for $69 a night. If i come i'll go online the night before and get the internet rate. Problem with doing the net rate at holiday inn is they don't let you cancel at all if you do that, you get charged a minimum fee no matter what.

Got to www.expedia.com and put in Florence, KY, they still have the room at thoses rates.
If they sell out the hotel has lots of rooms left but hotels.com does not have the special rate for Saturday. You snooze you loose. I tired to see how many people wanted rooms and I could have secured a group rate, but to late now. You can book with the hotel directly for the same price as the holiday inn. The holiday in is 5 minutes away. I know a few people got in on the special rate and are at the suites. If you want to complicit things you can use hotels.com for Friday night ($61) and book with the hotel for Saturday.
Also, sign up for the AmeriSuites reward program (it is free) and they will have a beer or soda waiting for you with some snacks. Also if you have a laptop they will give you free high speed Internet access. In addition they have free breakfast buffet.
