We need to make some sort of list of events of this weekend along with meeting points ect. Here is what I have down.

LOD Summer Bash
July 23rd through July 25th, 2004
Cincinatti, OH

FRIDAY: 5:30pm-10:30pm
Everyone meet at Edgewater 1/4 mile track http://www.edgewaterrace.com/ for directions(15$ to race 10$ to watch)

FRIDAY: 11:00pm till Sat a.m.
Go back to Designated hotel of choice, drink in bar, or play it by ear, ect. Everyone can meet in Sharon Lesters room before heading down to bar or club.

SATURDAY: XXa.m. till Noon
Option #1:
Everyone split into two groups and 3-4 people go to Ryans House to work on cars while the remaining peeps go to Joe's house and work on cars. I have a garage that can be used while Ryan does not. If JP wants to do a shift kit my house is the place to be. PM me for my addy and phone number.

Option #2
Everyone meet at the speed shop in cinci and work on cars in the parking lot.
JP can still come to my hosue if necessary to do tranny mod.

SATURDAY NOON:

Cook some weiners and hamburgers. Eat lunch.

SATURDAY:
1pm-3:00pm Finish up mods and clean up.
3:30p.m. meet at designated hotel and then drive to track togeather.
4:30p.m Arrive at Tristate dragway http://www.tristatedragway.com/
5:45p.m. CLUB paid Meal Eat KFC, subway, ect. Wil lsend somome to go get food after we arrive at track.
9:00-9:30p.m. Leave Dragway go back to Hotel.
11:00 p.m.

Option #1
Meet at Racers Gentlemans Club. 101 Hwy 465 Sparta, KY 41086 This club is 21 and over cover 10$. If people wnat to go to the hotel before going I suggest this option. They also serve alchohol at this facility.

Option #2
Diamond's in South Dayton. 18+ can get, in but no alchohol(you can bring your own but for a hefty fee), jsut dancers. It is close to the track. IF people are under 21, do not want to go back to the hotel after being at the track, I highly reccomend this place.

These are the two best gentlemans clubs in the area. Both have supurb dancers. Just depends on what people want to do. YOu have choices. Trixie, Eli, and others have been to Diamonds on our last meet.

If some people do not want to go here, other options are available for them.

SUNDAY:
Depends on who is here and what time they leave.

Morning: F1 racing party?

Noon: Lunch ?

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

Here is a copy of my email back and forth with Bill from Supercoupe.....

Ryan,
I finally got a firm answer from Apten. THey will all be in Chicago
that weekend at a race and they do not wish to open their offices
without any of the owners present. Sorry.

I don't have any other suggestions for you as a place to gather.
Hopefully you have formulated a back up plan.

As far as my relationship with Apten, you are correct. They are the
ones who program our custom chips.

I have not had an opportunity to spread the word to other local SCCoA
members about this outing. The best thing you could do is go to
www.sccoa.com and state what is going on and invite people who live
nearby to attend. This site has a "non-tech Forum" that is used for
such things.

I'll be out of the office from noon on Wed till Friday afternoon but
give me a call sometime soon and hopefully I can meet up with your
group over the weekend.

So it looks like we are going to be hosts Joe.
After that we'll see what happens.

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

Sounds good guys. Hopefully the wife & I will arrive at the Holiday Inn approx. 4 pm Friday, check-in, unload luggage and head for the track.

I like the idea of gathering at the hotel after the track Friday nite. Good time to kick back and unwind, and see who's doing what and where at the mod session Saturday.

Too bad about Bill not being able to pull it off with Apten. Oh well, short notice, what do you expect. Can't fault no one. Perhaps we can make it an annual thing and have more advance planning next year?

I'm not sure 'bout the shift kit install yet. I certainly appreciate the offer Joe, I'll let you know if I decide to try it out(the install) at the meet.

We probably oughta come up with an alternate plan in case of rain? :B

Option #3, I talked to Joe on the phone, there is plenty of room at his apartments to park in the lot and do mods for the whole group. We can use his garage, parking lot and he has tools. He can get his dads grill and we can BBQ there as well. However, if it rains we can't fit inside his little apratment. After I take stuff out of Joe's trunk I will load an ez-up tent for the meet, if anyone else has one I suggest they bring it. Also you should bring chairs as well.

If it rains Saturday afternoon we will need a back up plan. One suggestion can be to go bowling, or some other indoor activity.

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

Steve what are you planning to blow?????? IF we meet all meet at Joe's I can bring the grill and an air compressor to speed the process up. That is unless Joe's neighbors have sometime to say about the lovely squel of an impact wrench at 8am...LOL That way everyone can swap stories and ideas with one another.

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

I think you're presuming a lot to think we'll be awake and functional enough to use air powered equipment at 8 in the morning.

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

I'm pretty ready -- still have to print out directions and stuff, though.

Good thing you got that fancy GPS gizmo }(

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

I got the front bumper cover back on and everything put back together. Just finished installing plugs and other misc. this evening. Tomorrow, clean out trunk and organize what I'm bringing. Then get the Mark cleaned up and hope for no rain. :D

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

Man, I was going to show saturday, but my good ol air ride died, so the front end is slammed and the compressor went with it. so I have to buy springs now, sorry guys and gals

RE: LOD summer bash itenerary

Air Ride troubles that sucks! Maybe Sharon could give you a lift so that you can have a group session with us. We could call it " The LOD Summer Bash/ Air Ride Vents"

Are you thinking of going coil springs? IF so give me a yell and I'll answer any questions you have about the swap, that I can answer. I've had the swap done for about 3.5 months.
