Bash in the Grass '05

RE: Bash in the Grass '05

Iron or Aluminum Alloy, the '93 brought home two trophies - 2nd Place in Class(80's & Up Ford) & Best Engine! The weather was hot and humid but a good time was had by all. The Mid-Atlantic MN12 gang(www.mamn12.com) won Best Participation of a group or club. Pics will be posted later.

ummm what the heck are they doing to that T-Bird? Please tell me he wasn't doing burnouts in the grass with that rock in front of the tire to hold it. lol The T Birds should be able to smoke em on dry pavement like all our Marks. Maybee someone had too much beer and kicked over a habachi grill or something? lol

LOL :7

It was almost prophetic. My son asked "What's the worse thing that could happen?". I replied "Well, besides the exploding tire causing body damage, you could start a fire." Literally minutes later, this happened!

Actually they had set up a big steel plate. Several contestants entered and took it to the max with the tire(s) exploding and the crowd cheering. The T-Bird unfortunately had to abort due to the fire.

BTW, it was an alchohol free event - probably a good thing! :7

RE: Bash in the Grass '05

hahaha no, i meant that I've seen ricers need water to be able to get the tires to slip for a burnout on pavement. It looked like he was just on grass and not metal.
I was just laughing at the fact that the rock was there for safety precautions. (like it would hold the car back or something from jumping over it if it caught.)
All i do is slam the gas down on dry pavement and she lights up. Im pretty sure the T bird can do the same with no water needed.
Ha haa gives new meaning to rubbing two sticks together....hey! we got fire! hahahaha too funny.
What? no beer at a BBcue? Isn't there a law against that? Must have Budwieser with steak and cucumbers and white vinegar mayonaise sauce. It is a written law at my BBcues...lol ;-)

It was in a state park and no alcohol is allowed to be consumed on state property in WV. Trust me, this gang was dangerous enough without alcohol. I learned a long time ago to never underestimate the power of stupid(or drunk) people in large numbers. :7

RE: Bash in the Grass '05

HAHAH yes you are right about that. I've been to state parks like that with no beer laws. Pepsi is always my secure choice then. If it was a state park, i don't think i would of entered into the burnout contest in the first place. lol Way to regulated. "Park here" "no grills" "no pets" "play frisbee here only", "don't cross line", blah blah blah... haha there like sharks in Florida too, stir one or two up, and the massive feeding frenzy begins. (in this case, crazy antics). :)
haha Who am i kidding? I'd be right in the mess with them untill we got tickets or kicked out or endangered other people. Remember what your parents said... "It's all fun and games till someone loses an eye". Thats when the BB gun wars stopped, after a close call. ::roll::
