RE: Brand new Dennis R tranny

I know for sure it has a mechanical diode in it. Nonetheless it is a brand new tranny, and is supposed to be "built" I am not taking it apart to find out what has been done. A new tranny for this price is still an incredible deal. YOu cannot rebuild your broke tranny for the amount of money that I am selling this one for.

You were alot luckier than me, if it was in fact re-built. I'm not sure what you mean by "brand new." You bought it new, but where did it come from and what was done to it?? It could be a '99 trans with an MD untouched inside... Sorry if I sound skeptical, but I was burned badly ... I traded in a 1996 trans that was recently rebuilt for a Reinhart, and what I got for my $1500 was a stock '94 trans with a tailshaft lube... what I gave was better than what I got.. And I know others in the same boat...
Nobody seems to want to tear them open to really see what they have, the only ones I know of that have actually looked inside, were bogus.. and so far no one has torn one open and said all the clutches, etc.. are in there...
