Tristate results and pics!

Well I met up with Eli today at the dragstrip. It was about 70 degrees with an overcast when we showed up.

This was Eli's first time to the track with his convertor, new tranny, and headers. Eli was terribly excited to see what his car would do. here are the reesults.

First run:

Eli: Red Whore

r/t .841 .961
60 2.068 2.156
330 5.823 6.020
1/8 8.928 9.117
mph 78.94 80.14
1000 11.617 11.757
1/4 13.874 13.989
mph 100.34 101.18

Not too bad. I believe this was Eli's first run over 100mph, and first 13 second run. I will let him elaborate on that.

We changed the plugs out on his car, feeling that his MPH was a little low. Sure enough this is what our cars ran:

This ET was by far Eli's best, and it is now my best ET as well.

I personally think that Eli's car has a 13.5 in it. Hopefully he can get that 60ft time down to a 1.9.

For some reason my mph is getting lower and lower. I am sure it is the plugs that are going south. I have put a lot of bottles of NOS on them. I will be installing some Denso irridiums on monday, and hopefully going ot to the track on friday night. Hopefully I will get my 102mph back, along with some speed. I am wanting to run a 13.7 with the mods I have n/a.

The third run we made I ran with the NOS. I was tired of Eli beating me, so I sprayed him.

Eli: Red Whore

r/t .604 .749
60 2.039 1.962
330 5.781 5.424
1/8 8.865 8.242
mph 79.47 87.96
1000 11.534 10.658
1/4 13.773 12.698
mph 101.19 110.71

Thsi is my new best 125 shot time. Over all we impressed a lot of people on the track. Met some good people, made fun of some chevies. There was a turbo hayabussa there that we oogled over for 20 minutes. His bike was making 320hp to the ground when he dyno'd it. he ran a 8.75 @ 166 right off of the trailer.

All of these times were made with the cars the EXACT way that we drove them in. Same weight full interior, just as they are driven on the street. I even drove in on the same tires I drive on the street. we did not remove anything other than the spare tire, or run a different belt to bypass the accesories.

I ran a set of Bald BFG drag radials a tbird friend of mine had on some spare rims. There is no way I could've gotten any traction with street tires and that convertor. The BFG's did very well considering how well used they were. The last run I made where I got the 2.039 60' time they spun a little off the line. Funny 'cause I still ran a 13.7.

Good runs guys. I made it to the strip today too, had some luck. I'll make another post though.

You think those were good times, wait until next weekend. I will dump a 55 gallon drum of whoopass all over eli and his car.
I will own the highest MPH of any n/a mark VIII next track date. Shooting for the big 103.5

Kale - I have a C&L meter, K&N filter, Cold air intake, ported intake/IMRCs, 3200 stall, MMX driveshaft, 4.10s, Auburn diffrential, Bassani midlengths, ART exhaust (no cats), chip, and pullies. I also added the 1 3/8" swaybars, but that slowed me down more than helped. They add about 40 lbs. to the car.
