new best at Sac raceway

It was a great night tonight despite the heat and humidity. I got there at 7:30pm and it was still 87 degrees outside according to my car's computer. Anyways, I ran consistant 14.5-14.6 all night. My best run I got a 2.20 60 foot time, 14.52 at 97.2mph. I think I lost some MPH due to the shorter 245 tires in the back. Is it possible to lose over 1mph due to the bigger tires? I used to run 97-98.6mph and tonight I ran 96.5-97mph all night.

Sounds good, Serge! I'm going to have to come to one of these races when you, Max, Craig, and Brenda are all there.

BTW - do you know if you'll be making that Vallejo meet in September with some of us? It's pretty much all day, so I can understand if you've got something else going on. But it wure would be nice to let some of those Mustang drivers know there's more than one kind of car in the universe...

RE: new best at Sac raceway

You will loose some MPH when you put some taller tires on. SHorter tires, should yield you a better mph and time IF you can still keep them planted. Taller tires weigh more than simular made shorter tires. This will also decrease your MPH.

So I should have gained some mph with these new shorter 245 tires right? Looks like it's time for new 02 sensors and copper spark plugs for me... I'm still on my stock 02 Sensors with 140k miles, I think I am running rich.
