Thanksgiving ET Drags

Just got a couple runs at the local track (Infineion Raceway) and I wasn't all that happy. 1st run I couldn't get traction at all and ran a 2.5 60 foot time but after the launch the car pulled hard and I ended up running a 14.3 at 100.3mph. Next run I launch pretty good 2.1 60 foot time and the car ran a 9.0 1/8 mile. In comparison, the 1st tun I did a 9.4 1/8 mile which ended up being a 14.3. This run, as soon as I hit 3rd, the car just bogged and lost all power for a second so I let off the gas and coasted to a 14.4 at 80mph. The 1/8th mile MPH for that run was 79! It would have easily been in the 13's if that didn't happen. And my last run I launched OK with a 2.2 60 foot time, 14.1 at 99mph. The car was idling very long in the lanes and was heat soaked.

Sounds like what's happened to me in the past. Feels like you need to get out and push! :7

Yea, it happens with street tires. Not very consistant, although later on when I did a nice fat burnout I did manage a 2.1 60 foot time launching off idle.

I think the track conditions contribute as well, even with drag radials. Usually colder track conditions than usual and being one of the first cars down the track for the day. Some tracks are better prepped, and some lanes are better than the opposing lane as well.

I either race at Infineion or Sac Raceway and I swear that the right lane at Sac Raceway is "faster" than the left.
