Well, I put my old computer through the wringer -- it was having probs before and getting unstable, but my nearly 2 days straight of playing Sim City 4 finally just trashed the whole thing.
Couldn't get it to do anything, so I figured, WTF, I just want a new one. So after arguing with the Kid that I didn't want to wait for him to build me one, we went to Best Buy and I picked up a Compaq. Considering my limited uses for the computer, I'm sure it will do just fine for my needs, and by the time it craps out, I'll want something more advanced anyway.
Hubby's mad I didn't tell him.
And to tie this in to car stuff - on our way to best buy the car starts running like crap, missing, and the check engine light comes on. Of course, everything should just crap out on the same day. It's really raining, so I'm gonna check to see if there's water in the plug again before I get worried about it. But I've never had the check engine light come on before.
