It rained all day on Saturday, but that did not dampen anyone’s spirit. I was under the weather also, but I still had a great time.
Given the weather, attendance was quite remarkable. Bill Miller, the co-founder of Carlisle Events, said the number of registrants was greater than last year.
There were some great displays. Only 100 Thunderbolts were built in the 1960's, but with the number there at Carlisle, you would think it was a common car.
The restaurant experience on Saturday generated a lot of laughs. We would be hard pressed to find a restaurant again that served hot shakes, cold soup and frozen steaks.
The Carlisle experience made me feel good about the club. This is what the club is all about - camaraderie, friendship and cars.
