I been staying at the Howard Johnson right on Rt.11 as soon as you get off I81, 3 miles from the fairgrounds
excellent accommodations, huge rooms, breakfast, $99/night and worth inquiring about group rates, park your car right outside your room. There's a great place for dinner down the road, Hoss Steak House
I think it's insane staying at the Raddison with all the driving we do getting to Carlisle and the driving up and back to that hotel is crazy, besides, last time I stayed there I had an ant trail in the bathroom.
Later for the Raddison

Maybe so, but I still love driving my Mark! :D

RE: New hotel find

i've been staying at the holiday inn, between the fairgrounds and the radisson, for $74 a night (discounted rate). Outside entrances, and the place is kind of old, but it's clean and they have a couple of nice bars. No insects either.

We did get a housekeeper(? - maybe just a drunk guest) knocking on the door at 11 pm one night (we were drinking anyway) asking if we needed towels.

RE: New hotel find

The last time I stayed at the Comfort, I was able to get it discounted (Internet & AAA) to 75 and they threw in a gas card for 10 bucks. Not that Carlisle is a huge town but staying downtown was nice.

I just booked for next year at the comfort suites too. Looks really nice. The short distance to the fairgrounds is great.

RE: New hotel find

I'm going to set up reservations with the new hotel, too. Time to try something new! :)
