It will be held in Carlisle at a local establishment. It will be held on Saturday evening like normal. I need a count so I can plan which room that I need to reserve.

Ok the place is set for Saturday June 4th. It will be held in downtown carlisle at the sunnyside Restaurant. http://www.sunnysiderestaurant.com/
I reserved the theme room the meadow room. This was a good room for our group size going off of last years numbers. The lady I spoke with was more than nice and also told me of several other clubs that have their banquet here as well. There is no set number of people that need to come but I would still like a headcount. Everyone can order off of the regular menu and get what they want. No set choices. Hope this is good for everyone, it sounds better to me than having to at the last minute try to fill place settings and then having to fork over the cash for the empty ones. For those of you staying at the Comfort Suites this restaurant is just 1 mile up the road from the hotel!

What time is the banquet ?
I'm staying at Hilton in Harrisburg due to lack of decent accom. in Carlisle and I still want to spend some time downtown Harrisburg.
Also, you guys think it will be ok if I bring BBQ and steaks/sausages to the campgrounds for Saturday ?

Well I reserved the room for 6 pm but we may move it to 7pm or 7:30 dependant upon everyones thoughts. I am sure the place would not mind they seemed glad to have us.

Planning is about to go into overtime as of next week. Some big things are in the works. I need a couple of people to bring an extra cooler since Pop, and other refreshments will be privided for all LOD members at the showfield this year. Also I have some nice prizes to help with the raffle this year too. There will be some goodies for LOD members at the showfield this year as well. Oh and don't count out the possibility of a special Carlisle 2005 gift for every member that attends too. I will be bringing a small canopy to setup this year too so we all need not huddle just under the large tent either. Not that the closeness was a bad thing. Oh yea and we will need lots of pics this year as I am planning on making a carlisle 2005 LOD dvd presentation as well. Lots to look forward to in 2005.

If you need some forms typed up (club member vote sheet?) I can do that. I can also make copies at work, on the heavy-duty copier

I joined the LOD last year while at Carlisle and am planning on bringing my 93 Mark VIII this year along with my 69 Torino. My brother and I would like to attend the banquet this year if it is not to late. Also since I am new to this club, is there anything I should bring? After being a member of the Fairlane club for many years, I grew tired of their constant greed for trophies and plaques and am looking for a club that we can just socialize and do some "wrenching".

Hey Rich, just pile in the Mark and join the fun. No requirements to bring anything. Lots of people just bring 'refreshments' of all sorts. I'm sure there will be several last minute attendees at the banquet as well. Just ask around once you arrive.

Yes Rich please come. We all would love to meet you and have you join in the festivities. The banquet is open to all who would like to attend. Infact I just double checked the reservation today and all is still a go. We have a large room and there is no set menu just choose from the regular menu as you like. As a club there will be various refreshments avail free of charge in the communial coolers. Also I will provide some snacks and Hotdogs for club members everyday on the showfield. If you have anything else you want to grill bring it. Any snacks that you would like to bring and share with club members is also appreciated. CARLISLE 2005 WILL ROCK!
