Ok guys, hook me up! (then let's race!)

I got my nice welcome letter and my cool window decal, but where's my little green man? Also, who do I see about the free webspace on the site. I'd like to add some pics, fancy up my posts, all that good stuff. Figure you guys will know what to do.

It was nice getting together last month, look forward to more of that. In fact, now it's my turn. We all enjoy driving, thats a given. But... bouncing your M8 off the guy next to you on the interstate can get expensive. Drag racing is fun but little or no contact, (we hope)!

Anyone familiar with Bristol or Martinsville knows what fun short track racing can be. Imagine 10 to 12 of Florida's best Lincoln drivers at a time, on a track where they ENCOURAGE contact! Lil 500 Fastrack here in Orlando is the place.

You tell me if your interested and I'll set it up. We will pick a Saturday, most likely after the holidays, meet at the track around 11:00, have some food and fun and race till your arms fall off! Once I can use the webspace, I will post a video and you will see this is no ordinary kart track. If you don't leave tired, with your arms burning, you weren't driving! The first 2 races are on me! After that I think I can get them for $3.00 each if we have a large enough group.

Let's see how many folks are interested and I'll go from there. The track is easy to get to from I-4. There's plenty of room to line up the Marks and picnic space too! Let's make a day of it!

HEY Steve, it’s nice to hear from you!

Last month was a blast, and the weather has only been altered to the better.

Any Admin has the ability to give you the green guy, hopefully someone will change your status when they see this. I'm not sure who's in charge of the Web space now, but Kale helped me out last time resetting my password. Dave (Sleeper) our next president ;) is also very prompt in answering questions if you need help. Just PM him.

Someone will hook you up shortly, if anything happens, you can always send me the videos and I can host them for ya.

My gmail is:

I ran into a few life road bumps the past few weeks, but hopefully all should clear soon when exams end. Then I’ll up for anything :)

Hi Steve, Good to hear from you. Drag racing is my thing. I prefer not bouncing off each other. LOL! I went to the track last night for Test & Tune. There were about 200 vehicles racing including trucks, cars and bikes but only one Lincoln. I got in four passes which is less than usual but the young ricers kept blowing up and it took time to clean the track. The Mark was running in the 14.1 range and one Lightning owner came over and was impressed with the way it ran. There wasn't good traction and I spun the tires through 1st but it looked good as I fishtailed away from the lights. Everyone was having traction problems. I had an evening of fun for $15 which works for me.

On the first Sunday of every month there are these two events that are about 3 miles apart. I go to them often because it's a nice ride and it's good to see other car nuts. Is anyone else interested in this?

http://www.floridaswapmeets.com/ - Car show and swap meet at the Sumpter County fair grounds near Bushnell

http://www.cyclemeet.com/ - Bike show and swap meet at the Webster flea market. Beer & live music

Man... I haven't been to the Webster Flea Market in ages! I used to live in Clermont and Webster was a quick shot down highway 50 from there. Do they still have it on Monday's? Always thought that was weird but it gave us something to do during the week. I miss those days with limited responsibilities.

Hey, Jack... after the holidays pass, I'll join you one night. Two Lincolns will make the place twice as classy! I hope to have the 4.10's by then. Just got a K&N filter and new meats on the rear. With all the cold air recently, she really feels good.

Merry Christmas to all!

Steve

That sounds like fun, Steve. The Webster flea market is still on Mondays. I catch it ocasionally. On the first Sunday of each month they have a big biker bash there. Some friends and I will probably be there in January.

Hi David! I'll be there sometime after the 1st. I'm in Tampa and usually race at Bradenton. I prefer a 1/4 mile track since the Mark just gets going by 1/8th mile but racing is racing. My best 1/8th mile time so far is 9.065 at 79.25 mph.
