I just picked this up over the Thanksgiving break. She's a 2002 6-speed with 9,000 miles on it (I picked it up with 8,400 on it). The color is called Magnetic Red II(my first color choice). I picked it up in Ohio and drove her back to NJ this past Sunday. I've been waiting to get this car since I was probably 5-years old. This is the main reason I've been driving the Lincoln for 9-years.........so I could make this happen. Don't worry I'm still keeping the Lincoln. Can't drive the Vette everyday.

Ken, congrats, I wanted one sice I was about 5 as well, and that is a very nice color. Just so you know it is a tricoat so there is tint in the clear. If it does not have any rock chips in it yet I would recommend the clear bra because touch-up will be a PITA. In retrospect I made a mistake in not getting the clear bra and now have some chips I need to take care of, you know how NJ roads are.

We are doing a late night run this Saturday in NYC, going to hit all the holiday hot spots for some photo-ops then go over to NJ to the tick-tock diner in Clifton on route 3 for a late night snack. Dave B from LOD is over there as well.

awesome ride. I really like the color. Steve's advice regarding the clear bra should not be ignored.

My friend Tom's wife bought a '01 Vette, same body(targa) in some medium blue color. I detailed it for her, for her birthday, and the chips are something that I could do nothing about. There are only about 3-4 of them, but when the car is detailed, they show up like a cattle brand.

NICE!

I love the paint.

My next car purchase will likely be a CTS-V or a C5.
