PI Stallion 3200 stall torque converter

Ford 4.10 ring and pinion

Ford Traction Lock limited slip differential

subframe connectors

Mustang Cobra intake manifold

Dynotech MMC driveshaft

Yokohama AVS ES100 tires all around, plus a used pair of Nitto NT555R drag radials. Two front yokos are good, two rears are at the wear bars

All new paint within the last few years. NO dings, dents, or scratches. Front bumper is showing typical highway wear. Car comes with a bra (that i only use for long trips).

New windshield

Newer headlights (HID's, of course)

Dynotuned by Alternative Auto, has a 4 position SCT flip chip

Octastar wheels (chrome, of course) with newer centercaps, and spare centercaps.

B&M tranny cooler

j mod with mercon V

poly IRS center section bushings

Punch amp for interior speakers. Front speakers are Kicker Resolutions, an RS6.2 component set. Rear speakers are infinity reference, at least 10 years old now. Punch 200x2 amp driving 12" solobaric (a round one) with a custom box. Kenwood Z919 head unit. Stereo components are a little old, but still function fine.

The car appears from the exterior to be a stock LSC. It's not an LSC, and it's not stock. The trim was replaced with LSC trim, so there is no chrome strip in the trim. If you paint the regular trim you can still see the strip where the chrome used to be. The grille, headlights, and taillights all have painted trim.

Everything works, the car is very reliable.

The car runs 13.9's. I can get 14 flat out of it any day of the week, and have a handful of time slips showing 1.9 60' times and 13.9 1/4 mile times. This is without any weight reduction, with the stereo still in the trunk, as well as the spare tire and jack. This is also with a paper air filter and a stock MAF sensor. I don't use a K&N because it doesn't filter well enough. Since i've put up those times, i've had the exhaust redone and fixed some problems with one of the header primaries. The car should have better than a 13.9 in it now, but i didn't get any good passes at the strip this year.

The car has been garaged winters since i've had it, and the previous owner did the same. The engine has had oil changes with Mobil 1 regularly since i've had it. Every 3000 miles for a long time, lately i've been stretching it further, but still not as long as Mobil recommends.

I have stacks of maintenance records from myself and the previous owner. Everything mechanical on this car works and is in good shape. The car drives straight, doesn't pull, handles excellently, and stops straight and smooth. It doesn't make any wierd noises, doesn't leak and doesn't smell.

This car has the "kale mod" done to the air suspension, or rather a variation of it. The car has been lowered very slightly by adjusting the sensors as well. There are switches in the center console to disable the stock suspension controls and eliminate the error message, and to control the height of each corner of the car.

The car has a two-way alarm with a remote start and an LCD readout on the remote.

This car will probably not pass any emissions inspections, but there will be no emissions codes if the OBDII system is scanned.

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

Dave that is a good deal on a great Mark VIII. If it had less miles I would have bought it from you the last time you offered it for sale. I hope it goes to someone who will take care of the beast.

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

I have most of the stock parts (everything but the exhaust and the driveshaft) that can go with the car. Also, the drag radials come mounted on a pair of thunderbird rims.

killer deal, jump on it!

notice i just changed it from 8500 firm to 8500 obo... i'm more convinced that i should sell it now. I haven't gotten much use out of it in the last year and i can save some $$ by getting rid of it.

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

So buy it!

I'd like to see it go to someone on here, i don't want to see someone buy it and treat it like crap.

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

Arrrrrgggg DAVE!!
Does the car have any sort of vibration at 65-85mph...
Did the blend door ever get replaced?
Does that exhaust have any cats?

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

Max, I need to buy your car and you need to buy Dave's car. ;)

Possible Mark VIII-cest happening on here eh? ::roll::

I am trying to figure out if I can sneak the car past the Smog Nazis out here, which is my #1 fear for now. At my last smog check the guy seemed truly puzzled as to what a mark VIII is and he didn't even check under the car... so if I bring it to the same guy and slap on the stock mufflers to make it quiet. The car should be set for 2 years, unless it can't pass the sniffer, this is where my cat question came in.

No vibration

blend door is original as far as i know, previous owner may have had it replaced

no comment on the cats. i doubt it will pass a sniffer. No emissions tests in MI :)

I wouldn't even try to bring it into california

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

SOLD

got $7600 out of it. It went to a good home. Not someone on these boards though, but maybe they'll end up on the board.

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

I can't believe i haven't gotten any replies on this yet. maybe nobody noticed because the forums are fubared.

i sold my suburban this weekend too. went for $1900 on ebay, opening bid. that was significantly less than i wanted for it, as i was in it over 5 grand over the last year. so i guess that means it cost me $.25 a mile to drive that one, plus gas and insurance. i haven't broken down the per-mile on the mark 8, but i put over 60k miles on it and sold it for 7k less than i paid. but that doesn't begin to tell that story...

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

Save yourself from the math... it'll only make you cry.

Glad the Mark found a good adopted family. :)

RE: 13 second gen 2 f/s

sort of locally. i sold it to an undergrad member of my college fraternity. also a marine. he's had lincolns before, but nothing without a carburetor. everyone was surprised when he went for the mark 8.
