What model number is it ?

4250d and the other is the 4160 - I have seen them both on eBay going for $50 ~ with 2 days to go - I don't think I can let them go for that little. You might be better off looking there? I don't know. I do have a guy on the fence for $800 for everything, radio amps and tube.

"Well guys I have sold my Mark VIII for a 2002 Jetta GLS with 1.8 turbo."SACRE BLEU!!! Say it ain't so!! Not trying to belittle the VW at all, but if you had asked everyone on here to guess your new vehicle, I don't think a Jetta would be in the first one hundred replys. I hope you hang around and let us know how it goes ( and to let us know, over the coming months, just how much you really, really wish you still had the Mark ) ;) Jeff

I hear ya, but fuel economy really became an issue. I still have the power and acceleration. I am having trouble getting use to a little car but you would be amazed how you could zip in and out. So far I have driven the car for 325 miles (14 gallon tank) and no complaints.

What would have been your guess for a new car? If it is worth anything I did look at a Lincoln LSE? Pretty sweet car but twice the money. I paid 12,500 for the jetta gls with 22k miles.

The Mark VIII is definitly much more of a car, but I am amazed by how solid the Jetta and the quality workmanship that VW puts into this car. It has the same motor as the audi a4 and tt (only 1 turbo though) - lots of parts are interchangeable with the audi and the Porsche Boxter too! There are tons of mods out there but by no means am I going to put a fart can on it and rice it out. If I do exhaust it will be done with performance in mind. There are even chips for the car, there is one model that is $5000 - dang right! There are ice box intakes and maf's. I think this car will be just as fun.

I really hate to leave this place, it has been my home and while searching for a vw forum, none of them seem to have the warmth that I find here. I will still be around.

Jeremi - LOL - that is it! Wow they didn't waste time did they? It seems like they sold it to that nationwide company. Kind of makes me feel bad, you know, but they could do what ever they want with it. I got beat for $100, funny thing though, the manager of the dealership said he was going to give the car to his sister-in-law - oh well. To anyone looking to bid on it, LOL, engine runs like a champ, a/c blows real cold, the car is all stock, it never broke down. Body needs some work all around. Front end needs work and the front air bags are leaking. Compressor makes lots of noise. Rotors are warped, seemed like a common occurance with this car, I guess maybe becuase the front end needed work. But that's it! I think it is a good deal up to $3500.

Unbelievable right?
