Removing High Beam Bulb On 2nd Gen

I bought silver stars for the high beams today. Got home and pulled the plastic pieces off, and attempted to twist the black things that hold the hi beam bulbs, didn't even budge. Then again it's kinda chilly out, but is this the correct way to remove them? They seem SOOO stiff and wouldn;t budge at all whatsoever. Do i twist the counter-clockwise? Like how you would undo a bolt? Thanks!

I have to do this too, I replaced mine with that new HID stuff and am selling the one good OEM bulb I have left on ebay, hope it goes smoothly

How'd that swapover work for you? Are the lights any 'brighter'? Was it an easy job. All us Gen II & '96 drivers all ears here on your experience with them.

no, I am still waiting for them to be delivered and I am getting more and more angry. This guy who contacted me on here who is selling them allegedly sent them out priority mail on Tuesday which is over 7 days after I paid for them and they still aren't here. Priority takes 3 days max to get anywhere in the US. Arghh, I can't stand having to wait especially after paying $350. He seemed like a good guy bit now I don't know

...Priority takes 3 days max to get anywhere in the US...

That's not true, Priority is actually First Class Mail, it can take as much as week or more sometimes. I ship everything Priority and I've seen shipments take 10 days to go 20 miles and two days to go across the country. There are no guarantees.

Ask him for a tracking number so you can check at the USPS site for it's progress.

please I am not looking into getting into an argument here, this is the language from their website and I have done over 1000 ebay auctions in the last 7 years and never has priority taken more than 3 days. As per the local post office, the priority package gets routed directly to the destination PO instead of stopping at the closest sorting warehouse.

anyhow, I got the package Saturday and it is a very easy conversion, but you have to get down under the car. reaching was a 'PITA' but the lights look great and the whole job was swift. I am happy I did it now and I would recommend it to everyone. I will get pictures up ASAP.

btw, sold the good bulb for $150 on Ebay. So $364 - $150 made the whole deal come out to $214
