Theft Module

I've never purchased one, but I made my own for my mustang. I used the cig lighter, so when I parked, you just pushed it in and it'd ground out the coil. :)

Sold the stang though.....AFTER it got stolen, lol! :( (forgot to engage the switch)

Can't forget this...if you don't stick the plug in, it don't start for YOU either... Actually, I was looking at putting this on my 05 diesel. Tons of $ tied up in it.

Haha...yep. Its quite easy to install a toggle switch on ANY wire that will prevent ign. power, or starting the vehicle. Heck....I even installed a jumper wire on one of my buddies cars at work, so when he tried to start his car the horn was blaring, lol! He didn't know WTF was going on :) He kept trying too....honk....honk..........HOOOOONK and it was like that for a week! Everytime he'd start his car to leave for lunch or whatever, the horn would honk for 2-3 seconds while it started! LMAO

I know about the toggles, but this is like installing 7 toggles all on different wires and threading them into the wire loom....neat. Probably would take the best part of a day to get it all done and tied up. BUT, you'd only have ONE switch...the 15 pin plug.

Well yeah, but I'm saying you can hide a toggle anywhere in the car, under the dash ect....and you won't have a little plugy thing to lose, like you stated above.

You know what is a little easier than the serial port is a 2 wire microphone jack, they make them with screw in leads. I guess its just me not enjoying soldering for hours, lol!

In my '76 Pontiac Grand Prix, I wired two toggle switches in series with the neutral safety switch and put the switches in different spots.

I also removed the console and shifter and put a full carpet in the car. I shifted using the ring on the steering column, by the lock. The ring was still connected to the trans back then.

The car was never broken into, but I'd like to see a thief's face when they couldn't even find the shifter.:D

Lol! I bet that was tough on your wrists, haha. When I went to high school, I hooked my truck up with a Grant steering wheel and I figured I'd buy the detachable kit. Remove the wheel, install the "cap" and they aint going anywhere, haha.
