wildfires felt down by my house.

some of you know the wildfires that are burning in georgia and northern florida. well i am 3 hours south of all of it but the smoke and haze are like the fires are up the street at my house. it smells and the sky is so hazy. the sub-tropical storm that is up near the ga,fl border is whats pushing the smoke down here. this is what the sun looked like from my driveway at 7 pm tonight, normally, and obviously, you would never be able to look at it like this.

That is a strange sight. I saw that a few years ago when I was in Denver. It even left tiny ashes everywhere.

We got a bunch in California as well. But you guys were hit really hard with those wildfires it is like you entire state is on fire!!!

Keep that Mark away from the flames man....you finally got it how you want it!

BTW...to get pictures to pop up, just put a
after.

Heading to Fort Myers today and then have to drive across Alligator Alley to Fort Lauderdale. I heard they closed the "Alley" down the other day because of smoke.

yeah the alley was closed due to flames going over the road. put it this way, the news last night said florida had 74 county's, and there are wild fires in 54 county's. and yes it is very dry here. we are going on almost 3 months with no rain at my house. it doesnt always rain in florida so if you ever hear that, its coming from someone who doesnt know florida. we need rain BAD.
wow as of 8:30 friday morning we woke up to find ash all over the cars. it is the worst ever today as soon as i opened the door the smell of smoke is overwhelming here. i cant believe the ash that is all over our cars. i cant imagine what its like to live in the counties that are having these fires because they are not close to me. i think the closest fires may be over 40 miles away from my house. they are telling everyone who doesnt need to be outside to stay indoors and avoid the smoke. man this sucks.

lets see if i can post pics right. it has been terrible here all day. it cleared up for a little bit enough for the sun to shine but it only lasted a few hours. i took my car to the shop and washed it and left it inside and rode my mt bike home. i dont want to car to load up with ash again lol. it looked like something out of a mad max movie driving through this today. man i will be happy when this is all gone. these pics were taken at 9:30 am usually its sunny and hot already, well it was hot, but not sunny. keep in mind also these bad fires that are bringing all this smoke are almost 250 miles away from me.

WOW that is CRAZY! It looks like the first are super close! So....in this recent move, did you move closer to or farther away to/from the fires.

we only moved 5 miles north of the old house. but i am 5 miles closer to georgia lol, but that doesnt mean anything, it still takes 3 1/2 hours to hit the georgia line. its this bad here at my house, i cant even imagine what it looks like if you drive 3 hours north to where the fires are. i feel bad for the people that live up north of me.

Wow that smog is insane... those fires are probably responsible for 10x the annual US pollutant emissions that is produced by humans... global warming eh?

just as a FYI that is what it looks like in China on a normal day, because they burn coal everywhere.
