Serge hooked me up big time!

Jesse the car is looking sweet dude. i dont get to see it often now that you arent over in my internet neighborhood anymore. looks like i have to come though this neighborhood more often like everyone else is. did you ever get that " stuff " from me put under your hood yet?

Yeah dude...you need to come around more often!

I haven't installed it yet....kinda been broke and waiting for money for the gaskets.

Jesse...do the speakers grills, and you're SET! I have a complete black interior in a 93 part cars, so let me know. also, I have tons of spare trim pieces, so if i dont have what you need in black, I should have something that you can just strip and paint. Like the rear vent panel on the console! I have 4 of those....

Just let me know.

Serge's interior always looked great in his Ivory car.

to answer an earlier question, YES you could get a Silver Frost with black interior.
I also saw Leo(ggmarkviii club member) who had a white Gen 2 LSC with black interior.

J...get those guages in pal.

Craig have you ever seen a Silver/Black Mark VIII?

I remember Leo's car it was in fantastic shape for having 150k miles.

What color-combo was "workout man's" car? Was is Pearl/Pearl ?

Max, remember Gavin(shipwreck) on Markviii.org?
His LSC was silver frost/black.

I have since seen a few for sale....

had your 98 been silver/black...it would be in my garage.

Hurley's car was Ivory/Ivory....
I'd like to see one with the uber-rare red interior....THAT would rule.

OOO you're right that combo was sticking. Black interiors look very good and are very easy to keep clean since they don't show the dirt. Red interior? Like a Maroon color? That Green one was odd enough.

Thats kinda what I was thinking too :D I'll keep that in mind just in case I fubar something, lol! I'm working on the guages too....time is ticking until I start the academy so that takes precidence.

This car reminds me of Geno's m8. Except the owner is less of a ding dong ;)

>>>> I was able to pop the other axle out, only to find that one of the lower spindle bolts was installed BEFORE the axle in the hub

That's how they all are installed (unless it was taken apart and reinstalled in the past), both bolts from the rear to front. You have to pull the axle out of the hub and tilt the spindle to get that bolt out, or break out a grinder and shave 1/4 of that bolt's head.

J, nice going on the new interior design. "Just when I thought I was done", you come up with a great looking mod. As I own a Black one as well as a Silver maybe I will totally swap both interiors with one another. Keep up the good work and pics.

no matter how nice yours looks Jesse...no one's custom interior will ever look as nice as Dennis' Jone's 95 Convertible.

I'd like to someday have the two-tone CE seats in our 97 LSC.

So Geno is less of a ding dong or I am? :D

Haha J...I know thats how they are from the factory, but the other side was switched for easy removal. So, unless they had one guy on each side tearing it apart, they should have flipped both sides, not just one!

I found out that they came like that the hard way when I first started posting about my car swaying on the freeway. Everyone said it was a bad/broken sway bar, come to find out one of my lower spindle bolts was 1/4" loose! Had to grind it off to get it out because the threads got jacked from it wobbling around. :(

Thanks Boss....I'm glad you guys like it! I didn't think it would go over too well :D

somebody PLEASE post a pic of that convertible you are talking about! In all the years I have wrenched for Ford,I have always said a MarkVIII convertible would be B.A.D.But they never listen to us little guys!

Oh yeah one other thing,Funny how thinks come together,I am restoring my 93 and it is blue and so is the interior.Well, trying to find interior parts here in texas is like looking at my ex-wife.Sagging everywhere, wrinkles, stretch marks, buldges,ok,you get the idea.Anyway,I figured it would be easier to find a black shifter handle, console door top,and steering wheel and lo and behold, here are pics of somebody doing the same thing! And I also noticed that some of you mentioned that you had the parts I need so,if you want to e-mail me or pm me and let me know the usual stuff, how much,ph# etc,I will gladly buy them from fellow LOD members instead of a local bone yard.

Don't post pictures of the convertable here.....just do a search about it, you'll find it.

About your interior....you can either A)repair the sagging etc VERY easily with simple adhesive and some woodmaker clamps, or B)buy all "new" stuff and just replace it.

Talk to Jamie....he's a M8 dismantler and might have the color combo you're looking for. Also...check the "For Sale" section.

well I tried the search feature and it took me to a couple of threads about convertibles but most of the links had expired and some of them would not open.Oh well,it figures.I guess I am not supposed to see my MarkVIII in a convertible,(maybe it will tempt me too much to cut the top off)Just kidding!

Thanks, those links worked just fine.It sure doesnt look as good as I thought it would.Maybe if they removed the back seat and shortened it down into a two seater?

Bud FYI that is not the convertible that Craig was talking about. But now this whole thread got high-jacked lol. The car craig was refering to was a gen 1, convertible with a custom gen1/gen2 interior which it very nicely done.
