I was waxing my Mark 8 today and noticed all the faded areas and knicks in the front plasticy area. I thought that a bra would be perfect, anyone know if they make one. I tried searching everywhere and the carl make and model aren't listed. Or what alternatives are out there?

someone makes them because when i bought my 97 lsc it came with a bra in the trunk, as soon as i got home i put it on ebay, i didnt want it i thought it looked hideous, but thats just me.

I got a one if you want it....BRAND NEW never used or removed from the box. $50 +shipping?

I have one on my '95, it was in the trunk as well. Seller told me the car was hit in the front and the bumper/hood/passenger fender were replaced. The repairs were done OK but now 7 years down the road from the accident the jewel green has started to flake off the front bumper and white paint is showing in areas (guess the bumper the parts came off was a white Mark). I stuck the bra on to cover that stuff up till I get the car repainted. I think it (the bra) looks alright.

If I remember right, the bra that fits the Gen 1 doesn't fit the Gen 2. I couldn't find any new ones for my Gen 2 around four years ago, and bought one off eBay (made by LeBra). I only use it for highway trips; it comes off as soon as we arrive.

The white you saw come through had to have been primer because if they painted over the old paint, it would have looked like dookie.

You may be right...I haven't pulled mine out of the box to know well enough.

Just remember that if you do use one... use it sparingly! They are only meant for road trips, keeping it on will cause scuffing and eventually uneven paint fade.

Absolutely right . . . I had to have my Mustang hood repainted way back when, due to leaving one on all the time (LeBra). I even removed it sooner than recommended for a new coat of wax underneath, but the damage was already done. LeBra paid me back for the damages.

Then what's the point?
Seems to me that every time you drive is a chance for damage.

yea true and as I was saying, my front end has scuffs and some fade to the bumper, I will probably leave it on, I will just omit the hood portion

To me,when it comes to bras,Lincolns are like fine looking women,They look much better without them.

That is,,unless you front end is sagging!Haha!

I had one that I used for road trips. It wasn't all that great, it needed to be taped down on the headlamps or else it would puff up and flap, scratching the paint anyway. It looked like total crap on the car.

I would agree 100% the "good" bras are pretty pricy. And they are UGLY as hell. It is better to keep the car pretty and stay 100+ feet behind all other vehicles. Get a repaint once every 5 years and save yourself the hassle of putting the bra on and off.

Driving around with a bra looks so much worse than driving around with a few rock-chips.

I think DuPont has come out with a new "clear" protective spray on paint. Works like a clear film on the edges of you car but can be washed off afterwards.
