In Williams, AZ. All's well. Heading up to Grand Canyon this morning for the day. Leave for San Diego tomorrow AM. Will be a long day/drive, but plan on being there tomorrow night. Anyone know if it's faster to stay on I40 to 15, or cut down to I 10 and 8? My map program says the longer way is the fastest way, but I can't go 75 with the trailer, How is rt 89 (I think that's what is is?) I'll check back in here tonight...cheers!

2nd problem: Ready to leave for San Diego at 7AM and went to pull the side out of the trailer in and hydraulic fluid started pooling under the trailer!! Stupid manufacturer routed one of the slide out hyd. lines between the frame and the coach chassis!! Tool 14 YEARS to rub a hole in it! Real tough line. Lucky, have a place near by making a new line. Should be on the road before noon. I KNEW I should have got that new trailer I wanted BEFORE the trip....wife disagreed. Wives always get their way. BTW, she isn't complaining about the repair one bit!

She ain't in San Diego!! Well she is NOW....we all are. She, as well as two of the 3 grandsons are all traveling with me. Pull into the campground in San Diego and the tailgate fell off and bent the hell out of the front trailer compartment door!! Dang, sure am glad THIS day is over! Here till Friday AM, then north to Washington.

Rain in Texas. Get your boots.
Went over a bump (I guess) making a right turn one block from campground, heard a bang, checked and the V shaped tailgate I use for the 5th wheel was hanging by the wires. Evidently the right side lifted off the mount and it fell off and whammed the front trailer compartment door. Repaired it this AM with a rubber mallet and duct tape!
The right hinge was bent towards the rear, banged it close to straight with the mallet and it's back on and doing ok. I installed a 2" hose clamp over the attach point so it won't bounce out again! I'll use it for the regular tailgate once I get back home too.
Leaving San Diego up I-5 Friday AM around 9AM to miss LA traffic. We'll stop went we feel like it. Jesse, if you read this, will you be home Friday?
First thing that comes to mind is Viagra, haha.
Hey Bud, glad to hear you're having fun(not including all the mishaps)! I WILL be home Friday, I get out of the academy around 5ish and depending on traffic I get home about 6ish after I load all my crap into my car and cut out.
If you're heading up I-5, you will pass a really big shopping center at the I-80 interchange where there is an Applebees, Mike's Pizza, Hooters(hah), In N Out, WalMart and a Pet store if you need a kennel for the kids. Let me know if you're able to stop by, and call me if you need to! I turn my phone off during the week days, so leave me a message if you'll be in town and want to stop some where. If you lost my number, PM Max and get it from him because I'm heading back to the academy tonight and won't be able to read this.
