I've seen a few different simple cold air shields for thsoe of us who have removed the air box. Once upon a time I saw a pattern for the pieces to be cut-out, but I can;t seem to find it (old site??). Does anyone have a template?

thanks!

I do not recall ever seeing a template online.

You could try something like this!

Well I bet cardboard paper has better heat resistance than aluminum, but as you can see it doesnt look as good, plus it can get wet...so LOL

the cardboard solution is too "cheap" even for me LOL

and I've seen that too Leo, and I did just buy a stock airbox on e-bay, on a whim, so I might try that... (I got lucky on that, the seller included the MAF!!! so I ahve an extra stock MAF now, and a C&L MAF too... time for some e-bay it looks like).

I guess I could figure it out with some cardboard, shouldn't bee too close to rocket science...

I destroyed my original airbox years ago when I bought the LMS MAF/Cone kit. Eventually I decided to put my original MAF back on the car, but I had to fabricate an adapter and it ended up extending the length of the intake so that it was really difficult to get that cone in place.

So I recently switched to a smaller K&N cone, it doesn't seem to be a problem (yet - I rarely drive at WOT, how would I know if the cone was too small???)

The Cerruti Stealth unit looks like a lot of fun to build, and I do have next week off work... ;)

I used some cardboard for to make a template, once I got the piece to fit the way I wanted it to..I then covered both sides of the cardboard with fiberglass matt then resin.

worked great, so dont swear off the "cardboard" just yet.
