CE light and misfire in#1

Have been getting CE light and misfire code in #1. Changed plugs, boots and coil twice as this seems to get worse and burn the coil. Also replaced valve cover gaskets. Saw some oil, but it didn't seem excessive and was not mixed with coolant, which is why I changed out the gaskets. Still getting CE light and misfire code. Seems fine when moving, but when foot is on brake, or normal idle, the engine is misfiring and knocking. Suggestions please.

And the CE light still says mis-fire? Just want to make sure its not a new code or another code (like IAC).

Its always #1, front passenger side? Maybe a short in the harness? Cant think of much, you did all I would have.

Thanks, guys. I will check the harness for a short. Other replies have stated injectors, or possibly a valve. Opinions?

Update on problem: I had just been to my local Lincoln (non-dealer) repair shop and was about to leave the car , but the shop was full for the day. Instead, I had to drive off and just on a whim and the slight chance my tech's advice may help some, I threw another bottle of Seafoam in (gas tank this time). CE light goes away, no more codes, no more misfire. Guess it was a clogged injector, but it wasn't the harness, and seemingly not some of the other bad to worse case scenarios. will have new tune up and diagnostics done to be sure.

Like I said in my post, Seafoam isn't that great of a product, there are many better for your gas tank like Redline, Chevron, and Amsoil fuel system cleaner. For your engine, the best is Auto-RX.
