Ah ok. the last Chrysler I had which was a LeBaron was from Nebraska as well. PLUS.. when i was about 8 I had a penpal in Nebraska so hows that for a link! well anyhow if any you guys with Brit cars want any bits getting I dont mind doing it.

I am surprised that no one has told you the rule about people form the UK yet. You must speak in cockney. Please correct this henceforth.

oh cor blimey guv, Im really sorry me old mucker, wot i meant like, was if any of you geezers over there wants any bits gerrin', you only got to holler an ill run darn the old frog and toad and pick em up for ya. (hang on while i do my Dick Van Dyke dance and shout something about 'wot a picture')

hows that? Im afraid if you want any more ill have to ask the wife who just happens to be from the east end of London, Im from the Midlands so dont understand cockney! (probably why we get on so well, we dont understand one another!)

When I bought my first MG, I replaced the Lucas alternator with a GM Delco unit. Then I replaced the Lucas electronic distributor with an old used points distributor. I never had any problems with it.

I sold that MG for parts and kept the GM alternator and put it in my current MG. It already had an aftermarket ignition installed. Both these cars run/ran great and reliable.

I've spent some time in the Midlands working at the MIRA and Rover test tracks. I wish I had my MG with me to drive on your roads though.:D

MG parts are easy to get here, but you might have a little trouble getting Mark VIII parts over there. Let us know how it turns out. We might be having to send you some parts.:)

Cheers.

Hi, ive been to the MIRA research place many years ago and also down to the Thatcham centre, you know the one, where they take a brand new car and catapult it into another one! criminal i say!! then they repair it, work out how long it took, divide it by two and thats how long the insurance company pays you for when you are a repairer lol!
Did some of my training at British Leyland in the 70's, working on Princesses and Allegro's! (thats when the Allegro had a square steerining wheel)...Jeez I must be old!!
