I sold my Mark 8 so I have no use for this SCT Xcalibrator 2 Programmer I purchased from Blue Oval Chips, has two programs one performance and one theft program (car wont start) And you can add more programs.

Not sure about the program but it makes the car run and shift a lot BETTER. The car had no mods so it is programed for a stock engine. You can load your own programs with this unit but I have never done this.
 
so this is tuned for a stock car and can be used on any mark viii, not like chips which are for certain computer codes? sorry i dont fully understand how they lock to cars yet, but if i can use it, how do u want ur money?
 
its a programmer, and its vin locked, once it is used on a car for the first time it is vin locked, so for it to work on another mark VIII it has to be sent back to an sct dealer and cleared, im not trying to hurt your sale, but i just sold one too, from my 98, and its locked and the buyer cant use it, so i have to refund him, he doesnt want to send it out and pay to have it reprogrammed., chips are chips, but programmers are more complicated!
 
so even if the stock tune is loaded back into the car it cant be used on another? i thought you could load a stock tune back and use on a different car up to like 5 times. if it is vin locked then id rather just buy from lonnie instead of having to deal with gettin it unlocked and getting another tune burnt, anyone else have input?
 
that i am not sure of, since i sold mine with my stock tune in it, i kept the performance tune in my car when i sold the tuner, so maybe that part is true, someone will chime in with the answer im sure.

That is why the buyer cant use it.

If he sends it back, and you reflash your car back to stock..
then he'd be all set.

You basicly sold him a scan tool with a stock mark 8 tune in it...worthless

you cant have your cake, eat it, then sell it to someone else.
Gotta give the cake to the customer..

cool, now i assume that the tune on the xcal would have to be for the same computer code for it to work on my car, if not i have to get another tune made up by lonnie?

It's only VIN locked to the car when the program is installed, Before I sold my car I reloaded the STOCK program back into the ECM, so the programmer will once again work for any car, But only One car at a time. $200.00 Shipped to the lower 48 and I perfer Credit Card, Money order or check But I can take Paypal.

Ok, money right now is a little tight. I'll know for sure by the end of the week if i can afford to get this. If you get offers before that tho feel free to sell.
