For those of you who have never been to Truck Carlisle I have one thing to say... GO NEXT YEAR! If you have a truck, SUV, anything that will qualify... GO NEXT YEAR! This show was more fun and more interesting than any I have ever been to. Friday was a slow day as is usual at Carlisle but Saturday was jam packed. There was everything from low riders dragging their arses around pumping up and down to huge 18 wheelers that probably cost more than the national debt of some small countries! Allmost every truck from the smallest to the biggest was modified, there where very few stock vehicles. There was something interesting to see in every vehicle. I really enjoyed this show, I can't recommend it enough for next year.

The judging system is different that the other shows here. They have two groups, one is non-judged and unclassed. These vehicles don't park in any specific area so it's a real mixture and all park up on the hill for those of you familiar with the Carlisle layout. The judged classes park down in the valley closer to the action. The judging is done in a drive through area where several judges go over the vehicle and determine awards in each class. I was in a class called "Chevy 2 wheel drive Special Interest" which included El Caminos, Chevy SSRs and others.

From what I could see of the un-judged parking area it looked like one big college beer fest. If you want to come to this I highly recommend registering for the Judged Showfield even if you don't want to get judged. The parking area is close to the stands and vendors and is much more "civilized" than the mayhem up on the hill.

The big rigs where the most amazing, these aren't trucks you see on the road, they are strictly for show. These guys have hundreds of thousands of dollars in these trucks. The pictures just don't do them justice.

They also had a couple of "big foot" types that ran about crushing and jumping over cars. They where noisy and powerful but I just can't figure out the purpose, all they do is run over cars. The only thought I had was that those cars where once someone's pride and joy!

Another show where the motorcycle dare devils who jumped great heights and distances while performing acrobatics on the bikes. That was very cool, I've seen them on TV but when you see them in person it's very impressive. I never knew they reached such heights, they where really up there! The rock crawl was much better than at Ford and GM Carlisle, they had some really huge rock piles to negotiate.

The weather held out, no rain but it was beastly hot and humid. I think I drank 10 gallons of water. Thank God for air conditioning!

Oh, and by the way, I finished First in Class this time handily beating the El Camino that took First in the Peer Judging at GM Carlisle.

Well, here are the pictures, enjoy! All Truck Nationals 07

Congradulations Leo!

I really like that Corvair truck and that milk truck. Great photos.

After seeing those fire truck photos, I think you need to work on your "hot chicks at the car show" skills though.:D

Wow those guys in the tent did a "wonderful" job cleaning their trucks for the show. I love how you can hide paint blemishes with mud. LOL Nice photos, I too like the Corvair Truck and some of those tricked out semi trucks.

The mud thing was a set up so that they had the same truck all nice and clean on one side and all muddied up on the other and you could vote on which you liked best. The funny pat was that it looked like the muddied ones where nice and clean beforehand because the nice shinny paint was showing through. I have a feeling that most of them had never seen an off road trail before.
