T-Bird Lowering springs or a complete drop kit from American Air?

J

OCCUPY LoD :)
Will some lowering springs from a thunderbird fit the M8's or do I need to buy the complete drop kit from AAS?

I might be able to help with air ride questions Jesse, but sorry, I don't know anything about coil springs.:)

I thought you had some air ride plans for the future.

Well,

Technically the springs themselves will fit and there are many more options for springs when you're shopping for a TBird. From what I remember, the upper mounting flange on the TBird shocks is quite a bit different than the Mark, so that may be an issue. I don't see any way of checking other than getting your hands on some TBird assemblies and verifying fitment on your car. If they do fit, I know many of the TBird guys have had good luck with the Vogtland springs. I had the Eibach progressive setup on my '94 Bird and thought the front was far too soft.

Lol.....I've cut mine already, giving it a 3" drop. Its been almost 3 years of driving it like this so its sagged, and I've installed custom exhaust that is lower than the factory so I need to raise it back up. I'll probably just get the 1 1/2" drop from AAS.

I'll check on the Supercoupe performance stuff and see.

I would believe that the springs would work J, you already have the kit and all the support for them you just need the springs.
