Finally got some pics. I am getting the chrome tips done this weekend. Sounds much better without any cats or resonators or factory muffs!

it looks like who ever you had do it doesnt like to bend pipe and keep walking back to the car to check fitment, there is a ton of pieced together pipes under there, im just picky like that, you can tell alot of cuts and expanding was done to make it, but im sure the price was right too, as long as it sounds good who cares, you cant see it from the ground anyway. got any sound clips?

Who cares what it looks like... I think ppl that put on chrome exhausts are just wierd... No one will ever look "under" your car anyways... If that exhaust doesn't leak why does it matter how it was bent.

well performance wise alot of " joints " and welds and bends cut down on flow, the less bends and smoother it is the better the flow, and sound. i didnt say it is horrible , but the more welds on the the exhaust the more chance of rot too, everywhere there is a weld is another potential spot for a nice rotted out exhaust. water will puddle up inside everywhere there is an expansion in that exhaust.

I used Stainless so it never had to be replaced for rust again, and still looks decent from behind. Key words
"from behind".

Here is some exhaust work done on a M8 by a shop in Marietta, GA...just absolutely beautiful work...http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2718&highlight=mark+viii this is who I hope to have do my dual exhaust...OBTW does anyone know the power gain by doing duals with an X pipe?

Who's this Schultz guy? :p LOL

Edit: you should easily get 10HP going true duals. The X-type crossover helps in preventing torque loss and does not actually contribute to HP.

Oh, and WELCOME! :)

When I first got my car, I immediately put a true dual exhaust on it.
The sound was very harsh and one of my friends described it best as "sounds like a hay haulin pick up".

I took it back to the exhaust shop and had him just put in a simple H pipe right were the third cat was.

The car picked up 1-2 tenths at the track and sounded alot more mellow, yet powerful.

last trip thru exhaust land, the guy made a nice X pipe which as near as I can tell worked as well..as the H Pipe.

IMHO these cars need an X-H-Pipe of some form.

I believe all V8s need a X/H pipe if they have any kind of HP and Torque. Ford has been putting them on performance vehicles for at least 40 years that I know of and probably longer than that. A X pipe does more for HP and a H pipe more for torque according to performance people I know. I like the sound of the H best but it is according to how you are tuning your engine to which you should use, IMHO.
