Coil Over Boots -Source wanted

Could someone recommend a source to buy some spark plug boots for a '98 LSC. A dealer here in Toronto wanted $35 each. That's just plain unacceptable. I'm thinking of replacing my spark plugs. So I thought I'd change the boots while I was at it assuming they are reasonably priced.

Thanks,

Go to our home page and look at links. There are a couple of Ford Parts suppliers there...5 Star and Ford Parts Network that can supply you with the boots for less...be sure to tell 'em you are a member here. Not a member? $20.00 is a real good buy.

Sorry Neil but I have to ask... any meaning as to why you have Fanatic spelled Fenatic?

$35 is probably for the coil as well, they need to look up the part number for just the boot, try searching here as well. Also CND> USD so maybe it is cheaper to by them here.

No way... dealer wants $100 or more for that combo.

 So you are saying it will cost over $800 to replace all the coils?

Yep the dealer list prices are insane.
Check it out for yourself 4L7Z-12029-AA is the part #. Or DG-512. Rockauto has em or $45 each but dealers have much higher prices.

Seriously, that was for the boot ONLY. I had to change two last year because a valve cover gasket failed and leaked oil down there. The car started to miss and I didn't have an OBDII scanner yet to see which were the offending cylinders. So I had it checked out at the dealer just down the street. The (friendly) dealer dinged me $85 a pop per coil pack w/boot. Hence, the ask. I'll check out 5 Star and see what they say.

I purchased new boots at Advance Auto a few weeks back. They were $20 per pair and they (believe it or not!) had the Ford oval molded into the rubber. It would seem that Advance's supplier gets them from the same supplier as Ford.
While I was in the Advance Auto store, I called my local Ford dealer and, even with the ex-employee and they still like me, discount, the boots were nearly twice the price of the Advance Auto ones.
