MMC driveshart - where do I find one

1996 Mark VIII, 122,000 miles. From reading the FAQ/TECH page, I want to change u-joints or change driveshafts. Where can I find the, "MMC (Metal Matrix Composites) driveshaft that is high speed balanced" which they talk about? can I use a solid driveshaft from a 1993 Mark VIII? Will changing u-joints be sufficient? thank you for any help you may provide.
 
I don't believe they are available anymore. The metal manufacturer has stopped production. You could always go with an after market 3.5" or 4" shaft for the same or less money than a metal matrix.

I heard you have to drop the gas tank to change u-joint, same with replacing drive shaft I suppose? Thanks.......
